Gundam Seed: Kira Reloaded Prologue

Names Kira Yamato, I have a secret. Well it's not a secret since I will be sharing in a moment.

This little secret is…that this right now is my second life.

This means I can remember my last one. Because of my past life memories, I can make out what kind of place I ended up in.

I was delighted and… terrified…

A world where racist terrorists rule supernation? Where genetic modification is quite normal, and rich people clone themselves, this place was not on my top list to be reborn into.

But, in the end, I can't change where I ended up, so I decided to make the best of it.

That is...to abuse my new body's natural abilities since I am reborn as the 'Perfect Coordinator'.

Unlike the original 'Kira' which I remembered from the show, I used this body to its maximum potential.

From learning martial Arts to practising shooting, programming, engineering, robotics…

Learning everything I could put my hands on.

And, oh boy, how quickly I learned everything. It's amazing...and terrifying at the same time.

But, even with all these changes, I still ended up in the same school as Athrun.

Anyway…fast forward to that, I ended up in Heliopolis, the same place where Earth Alliance with the help of Morgenroete, created the Gundams, unlike the original, I knew about these things and came to this place just for that reason…

When you get reborn in the world of Gundam and not having the chance to pilot one it's a massive loss.

[Sir, you got an email]

Hearing that, I checked my inbox, it was a short email from the same professor who is working on the G-Project, secretly… or at least he thinks it's a secret, while I do live in the 23 or is it 24 century? The OS and operational systems barely evolved from the times of the 21st century, the reason being that everyone focused on colony building and genetic modification stuff, so the OS for computers are...lacking, to say the least…

That's why it took only seconds for my A.I. to hack the firewalls of this 'secret' facility. Not only that but the plans of the five G-weapons have already been in my External Hardrive for over a year now.

Over that period, I came up with several upgrades for the Strike. I can't do anything yet, since the Machine is locked up in the facility, but today is January 25, which is the day ZAFT invaded the facility.

"Kira! You still here?" I hear the voice of one of my friends from this college, funny enough I became friends with the same bunch as in the canon story…

"YES! Professors assigned three times the amount of work to me than to you guys!!!" I said with faked annoyance.

Tolle Koenig only laughed for a second.

"Well, at least it's your forte! So, it shouldn't take long, right?" He showed the bright side of things with a smile.

"Well, I suppose you are right," I said with a shrug, then noticed that his girlfriend is not with him.

"Where is Miriallia?" I asked him as I turned off my laptop.

"Oh, she should be here at any moment. Are you ready to help Sai with his little project?" Tolle asked with a slight grin. He knows how much I like to 'play' with robotics.

"Sure thing Tolle you know me," I answered with a grin.

Moments later, Tolle's girlfriend came to see us. She had short brown hair and blue eyes.

The first thing she did was hug her boyfriend and then greet me.

"Hey, Kira, ready to go and see Sai? He is already at his club place." She greeted me and then quickly talked about the little project Sai was working on.

Pity that I won't be able to see that little robot at the presentation. It would blow the minds of those naturals that kids not even in their twenties build such a thing.

Well, 90% of that thing was all me, from coding to designing…

Anyway, we started to move to the place where the robotics club is, coincidently, it's the same place where Morgenroete keeps its facilities and where the first five Gundams are stored.

Thanks to Tolle having a driver's license, we arrived there with his car.

After petrol dried up on Earth, everyone quickly started to look for new sources of energy.

The first and most natural one was Uranium, its uses increased several-fold, but such an unstable and destructive energy source was not useful in the car business. So, the next one people focused on was electricity, and so people started to make electric cars, but even so, the one we are driving now is still making noise. I remembered Tesla cars from a previous life. They were state of art cars with no noise coming from the engine.

Whatever created these cars still needs some research to do.

"Kira, did you hear that Sai sent a romantic letter to Flay?" Tolle said to me with a slightly amused smile.

I could only roll my eyes at that, I know quite well about that thing which happened a few days ago. The girl in question showed to her gossiping friends, which eventually spread through the whole college.

How did the 'original' Kira like that Flay is beyond me. The girl is just boring, I prefer Lacus over her any time of day…

"Oh c'mon, it's so sweet!" Tolle's girlfriend defended Sai's actions.

"I am not saying what he did is wrong, only Flay's actions were not that...nice. By now, the whole College knows and Sai will have a hard time attending it," I said with a sigh.

'Not that he will be able to attend college any time soon…' I thought about the upcoming ZAFT operation.

"Hmm, you right…Flay's actions were a little over the top, but I bet she was just too excited and then spilt the beans to the wrong type of crowd," Miriallia said after thing for a moment.

I could only shrug, My coordinator powers didn't include extra insights into female minds.

"Maybe or maybe not. Regardless, Sai will have an embarrassing time coming up." I said casually.

"You are right on that! And here we are!" As Tolle said, they arrived at the engineering club building.

Well, it's more like a complex of buildings. Since Heliopolis is an Orb space colony. The Morgenroete being a company of Orb, has a huge complex here.

A complex big enough to house five prototype weapons and a new-generation ship.

Yet, we are all supposed to be clueless about all that.

After leaving the car, we went to the building where Sai was with Kuzzey.

The only thing I can say about these two is that Sai is quite rich to the point that he can get an arranged marriage with the daughter of the foreign affairs minister.

And the other one is, well, a regular guy from Orb? Hell, I even forgot about him until I saw him for the first time in college last year.

"Hmm, it would seem we will need to rework the power control OS," Kira said while scratching the back of his head. He looked at the computer screen as he saw the readings he received.

He didn't like them.

"Again!? We just did that like a few days ago!" Sai sighed while saying that.

"Hey! We reworked the frame. Made it more energy-friendly!"

*Sigh*

"I have the feeling that you are just building a mobile suit out of this small presentation!" Tolle said jokingly.

Only that he realised that Kira wasn't joking from the looks of it.

"W-Wait, you serious? You do know that we will get full marks for this already?" The teenager with brown curly hair said with a sweaty forehead.

Why the hell does Kira want this machine to be that good!?

"Yeah, I know, but I want to blow the competition right out of the window," Kira said with a smirk. He wants this to look like there is no competition! Hell, he could sell this prototype to some engineering companies, and he could most likely revolutionise a few industries. After all, it's a pseudo-exoskeleton design.

Much smaller than any of the current ones are in the market.

"You seriously need to cut down on how hard you are trying, Kira." Tolle's girlfriend went to the rescue of her boyfriend as she saw how he reacted to Kira's words.

"I am not trying hard, you know!? This is my hobby, so I am spending my free time on it!"

Funny enough, none of his friends believed him…

"More importantly…who is the girl?" Kira asked his friends as he decided to change the theme of the discussion.

"She is here to check on something. Honestly, I have no idea." Sai said that as he scratched the back of his head from embarrassment. Here this girl was staying with them, but he had no clue who she was!

Kira nodded and looked at her. He knew that this was his sister. Even though she was hiding with a coat and a fedora, he was supposed not to know anything.

"I see… well, she can watch as mu—"

*Hard Shake*

***BOOM***

The whole place shook as sirens blared. It was an emergency!!!

"A-Are we under attack!?"

**BOOM****BOOM**

"Shit!"

Sure enough, the girl rushed towards somewhere while the rest tried to stand up.

"Guys! We have to evacuate! I am going to find her!" Kira said that as he grabbed his backpack and started to rush right after her.

"...Even in this situation, Kira cares about his toys?" Miriallia said with disbelief as she saw him running with that backpack of his…

"...I am pretty sure he spends days working on his stuff. Anyway! We should do what he said."

"Tolle is right let's get into those escape pods."

"No, father, you betrayed all of us!" The blonde girl wailed from grief as she collapsed on the ground.

"Holy Shit! Those mobile suits look epic in person!" Kira finally, with his eyes, saw the machines!

"Those are weapons of mass destruction!"

"Yeah! And now it's going to be done in style! Anyway! You need to evacuate! This place is under attack!" As the brown-haired teen said, he grabbed the girl and picked her up.

"W-Wait! What are you doing!" The blonde started struggling as he was carrying her like a bag of potatoes.

"Stop struggling! I am saving your skin!"

"I can do that myself! I don't need your help!" She said that while continuing to struggle against him.

"Yeah… like the previous collapse? Especially in that kind of situation?" He said with an eye roll which made her stop for a bit.

Kira used that moment to carry her to the emergency lift. This one takes her to escape pods.

The moment he called the lift he threw her into the lift.

She landed on her ass quite hard. They used that moment to send her on her way!

"H-Hey!" The blonde angrily exclaimed as she felt the pain. She then saw the lift doors closing in front of her.

"What about—"

The girl didn't finish saying as the lift doors closed, and she saw him waving at her happily.

"Damn…this idiot!!!"

She angrily slammed her hand at the doors as the lift started to take her down…

~~~~~~With Kira~~~~~~

"Well, that takes care of her…" As I said that I put my earpiece in my ear.

"How is the situation?"

[ZAFT infiltrated through one of the emergency airlocks and sabotaged through it. This killed the majority of people who were not in the prototype spaceship. This means only the skeleton crew are alive.]

This was just like the canon. I suppose Athrun didn't change much, or the change is minuscule. Though…

"And the Mobile Suits?"

[GAT-X103 Buster, GAT-X102 Duel have been stolen, GAT-X207 Blitz has been boarded. It's only a matter of time before it will be taken as well.

Only GAT-X303 Aegis and GAT-X105 Strike are still not boarded by ZAFT forces]

"Good continued to observe, the malware I left should not be noticed that easily."

[Understood]

"Good, we still have Strike and Aegis, lets 'save' at least one of them," I said as I rushed forward towards where Strike is.
