Gundam Seed: Kira Reloaded Chapter 2

After sending the Command Mobile Suit packing, a blast shook the whole of the ground as an enormous white ship just blasted from the ground.

This was the Archangel, the newest spaceship designed by Earth Alliance and the Morgenroete.

The ship's original purpose was to be the ship that houses the five GAT special units…

Now that was impossible because ZAFT stole four out of five machines.

At least Strike has been saved.

"That's the Archangel. What an enormous ship." Kira said to himself as he looked at the vessel.

Moments later the Mobile Armour pilot told to get to the ship.

Kira listened to him and brough the machine down.

As Kira went out of the Strike, people with guns approached him and pointed their weapons at him.

"Okay…* He raised his hands. The teen Coordinator already expected that… so there was no major reaction from him.

"While we appreciate what you saved the machine. It's still Earth Alliance property." A woman with short black hair and purple eyes said with an air of authority and a no-nonsense tone.

"Now, Now relax. There is no need for such a hard approach. The kid saved my skin there." A tall blonde man said with a much more casual tone as he approached them.

Since they were at the edge of the catapult deck, he walked from the interior of the ship.

"...Lieutenant… he is an civilian…"

"A civilian with a key instinct for fights. He took on a CGUE and pushed it back." The blonde said with a smirk as he looked at the teen. His feelings are telling him that this kid is good!

"...Still…the…"

"Relax. You are a Coordinator, right?" The man said with a knowing look…

However, the people with guns reacted quite harshly as they pointed the guns again at Kira for being mentioned as a Coordinator…

"...Yes. And I am the one who programmed the machines. So, I know them the best."

"...Wait! what?"

Everyone where shell-shocked to hear that! This kid did what!?

"Professor was quite lax with his work at college, he saw my talent for electronics and robotics, so he added extra 'homework'." Kira sarcastically said 'homework', which made the woman and the blonde man grimace.

"So I know my stuff around Strike and the other four GAT units." He said with a shrug.

"...Those are military secrets, you know…"

"Military secrets which need civilians to work on. Even with all my work, these machines at this moment can only be run by a Coordinator. For the simple reason that OS is still lacking its interface with natural's lesser processing capability. It wasn't finished in time." The brown-haired coordinator teen explained with simple words without beating around the bush.

"In simple terms…only you can pilot the Strike." The blonde man said with a sigh. He brushed his hair back with some frustration.

"Yes, Lieutenant." Kira nodded at the blonde military officer.

"I see… this puts me into a difficult situation." The short-haired woman was in the pickle now… their machine can only be run by a Coordinator, and that Coordinator is an ORB civilian. Not from Earth Alliance… and not a soldier in the first place…

"...Not… quite… as long as I pilot the Strike. I don't truly care. We are in a tight spot, aren't we, Lieutenant? ZAFT destroyed my College and home. They are still out there and preparing for another attack. I will pilot the mobile suit to protect my home and this ship."

Hearing how he simply accepted this made both the blonde-haired lieutenant and the Ensign woman slightly shocked.  This kid is a civilian, but… his resolve is even more than some soldiers!

"Are you sure? These are your people, kid." The blonde man said with a serious tone.

Is this kid ready to fight Coordinators?

Perfectly honest… there is only one Coordinator he cares about, and that is his Pink Songstress which he WILL meet soon.

"... It's not about people at this point. Lieutenant—"

"Call me Mu. My name is Mu La Flaga." The blonde finally introduced in front of Kira.

"...Lieutenant Mu, they blew up my home and invaded my Colony, so it's personal."

"I see… then we are happy to have you onboard?"

"It's Kira, Kira Yamato."

"Well, Kira. I think this is the beginning of something great."

'You have no idea, Lieutenant…'

Kira internally smiled. He finally has his Mobile Suit! It's time to spread his wings!

"...Lieutenant…" The woman was the most shocked at how this escalated! He can't just allow civilians to pilot… however, their hands are sealed here!

Sure enough, Kira brought his friends aboard the ship and the remaining soldiers who were not blown up by ZAFT sabotage brough in the remaining packages of Strike.

Strike was special because he had different 'packages', also known as a loadout. There are three in total, Sword, Launch and Aile.

Kira already started to work on the Perfect Strike, where all the packages are merged into one.

However, it's still a work in progress, and he needs more data as the battery won't last….

Plus, the thrusters won't going to last with such a loadout. So some work needs to be done, and modifications are needed on the frame before he can do any of those.

~~~~~~Outside the ORB Colony Heliopolis~~~~~~

~~~~~~Aboard ZAFT Nazca-Class Veseilus~~~~~~

"Athrun, you said you know who pilots the last machine?" A blonde-haired man with a mask asks the red-coat pilot.

The ZAFT pilots had their quick debriefing after they brought their machines.

The said machines are going through scans, and the data has been downloaded… None of these realised what they had been downloading…

The OS that Kira has created is full of viruses…

"Yes… I know in person." The Red Coat confirmed with some difficulty.

"Whoa?"

"Seriously?"

"Athrun…"

His teammates' reactions were mixed from shock to bafflement to even some sadness as Athrun had to fight someone he knows…

"...He might be someone you know… but—"

"I know, Commander. It's not that I don't want to face him… While I don't… He is still a friend, but… he is someone we can't… I mean, we can't underestimate. "

"Oh? There is a story?" The commander was very much curious. To see such a reaction from Athrun, who could make him this anxious?

"Kira Yamato is someone I attended elementary school with back on the moon." The pilot of Aegis started to tell his short tale.

"Even back then, when he was just a kid, he was obsessed with machines, electronics, and many other things. He simply was…mad in a sense. He practised Kendo, shooting weapons and martial arts. The moment he would master all of them to the point of perfection, he would move on.

Even back then, he said that giant machines would be used as weapons in future wars… this was way before PLANT's even came up with GINN…

*Sigh*

All I am saying is that he is very dangerous. We can't look down on him because he is a civilian."

"... I see… very informative." The masked man said that with a thoughtful tone.

He didn't expect the Ultimate coordinator to be like this. It sounds like he was preparing for war way back then…

Maybe he already saw it coming, but what now? What is he going to do with the machine he has?

Well… it doesn't matter… he might be able to use this kid to escalate the war…

*Snort*

"You sound like you are afraid of him, Athrun!"

Fellow teammate of a squad that Athrun was part of,  the one who stole the GAT-X102 Duel Gundam. Yzak Joule was a fellow Red Coat, and he had his 'pride' as a mobile suit pilot.

"Yzak… you never meet him."

"Doesn't matter… Commander Le Creuset! Let us deal with that Strike and this Kira Yamato!* Yzak said with a self-confident tone.

"Hmm, we still need to capture that Strike. Yes, I suppose you gentlemen can launch in those mobile suits which we captured. Once the data download is complete, that is." The blonde man said with a small smirk as he got an idea…

"Yes, Sir!"

"Athrun, you stay behind. Your Mobile Suit has been damaged. Unless you want to launch in a GINN?"

"No… I skip this sortie."

There is no way he will do that in a GINN! Kira will kill him! He already saw what that freak could do with a suit only armed with a knife!

"Coward," Yzak said with a snort.

Though Miguel, the pilot of GINN, was slightly nervous after hearing about this Kira Yamato, he saw first-hand how useless his GINN was.

Maybe… those GAT units have a better chance…

~~~~~~Few Hours Later~~~~~~

Alarms blared aboard Archangel as the radar picked up heat sources.

By this point, the brown-haired that Kira picked up had been chosen as Captain of the ship as she knew the ship and the people of the ship the best.

And Lieutenant Mu La Flaga, though had the highest rank, simply gave up as he knew nothing about the ship, and he is simply a front-line pilot and not a Commander in the first place.

This is why he will continue to pilot his mobile armour while the brown-haired woman by the name of Murrue Ramius going to command the ship.

"They took their sweet time."

"They needed to scan the mobile suits they stole. Pretty sure they were going to use them in this battle," Kira said as he already dressing up in a blue mobile suit pilot uniform. He was ready to pilot Strike and get that sweet data to continue the development of his machine!

"...Wait! Are they going to use those machines against us already!?"

"Yeah. That's the only reason I think they took their sweet time." The brown-haired teen said with a thoughtful look. He can already see the difference happening!

"I see… well, there isn't much we can do."

The Strike Pilot simply nodded at the Lieutenant's words as the pair rushed to board their machines.

Kira swiftly jumped into Strike, pressing the boot-up button. He saw the systems quickly starting up.

'I need to transfer Legion over to assist me with battery management if I am to fight extra mobile suits with this limit.' The teen thought about the extras he wanted to add to this machine.

"Bridge, give me Aile Pack for this one. Neither a sword nor a Launcher is good for this. I will be facing multiple mobile suits." The Strike pilot said over the comms. He saw that it was that short-haired woman, Ensign Natarle Badgiruel. They are so short-staffed that people are doing double or triple duties at this moment.

"Very well."

The woman was slightly more… communicable after the whole catapult deck fiasco where guns were pointed at him. However, she is because he can use their best assets at a good level. Better than it was with the original Kira…

Sure enough, his Strike moved into the armament stage, where the Aile Package was added to the machine. The shield, beam rifle, and flying support unit with two beam sabers.

The flight support unit is good for more speedy flight and manoeuvrability. However… it's not as good as the next-gen support flights, like the one used by Gundam Impulse. This is something Kira will need to work with. He can't have his mech having a partial flight in gravity wells.

"Kira Yamato, there are two GINN and three of our stolen machines. They just entered the Colony, be ready."

"Roger that. I will try to collect some war spoils from them. They might be stolen, but we can collect their parts." Kira said that as he checked out the reading he was receiving from his machine. He checked out the battery usage for the Aile Package and how much the gun was using that battery.

The thing about the gun is that it can be put on the back of Strike to charge. He could check how much energy the beam rifle has and emits each blast. He could customise it to make it more deadly but fewer rounds.

"That would be good."

Kira simply nodded and looked at the opening up Catapult deck!

It's time for his first proper launch!
