Gundam Seed: Kira Reloaded Chapter 6

PLANTs are a group of colonies situated at Lagrange 5. Each PLANT is a nation of its own with its unique and specific purpose to run the bigger picture, from agriculture to tech, to medicine, meaning that it's a fully independent and fully run nation of Coordinators.

Their military is also known as the 'Zodiac Alliance of Freedom Treaty', or simply ZAFT. Was created by Patrick Zala to ensure that their colonies were protected.

Originally they didn't have independence and their overlords were the Atlantic Federation. However, because Coordinators were genetically altered people their advancement far surpassed any Natural which lived on Earth.

Because of that, they quickly grew even when the Atlantic Federation forbade them to grow food, PLANTs eventually created their agricultural colonies regardless.

Then… when fear of 'space monsters' reached maximum, a nuclear missile was shot at Junius Seven, a pure Agricultural PLANT which had over 300 thousand civilians.

'The incident was called Bloody Valentine. The missile was shot on February 14, where people are having dates and other romantic stuff here in the Gundam universe, they shoot nukes.'

Kira thought to himself with a sarcastic snort as he looked at the enormous debris floating in front of their ship.

This was the remnants of Junius Seven, a huge mass of dirt floating in space with massive amounts of glass and other metals. The hourglass form of the PLANT's is barely recognisable.

The reason they were here in this space graveyard was because they were lacking water. Archangel doesn't have much water left as the ship has not been properly supplied since leaving Heliopolis.

Because of that, they will be scavenging the frozen water of Junius Seven.

Extremely bad thing to do. However, they are living, and these people are dead. They won't going need that water anymore. Not that they will take alot of it…

Just enough to reach Moon Base.

However, Kira was extremely excited for one reason, and that is that he WILL potentially meet the pink-haired songstress.

One thing that excites him as much as Gundams is Lacus Clyne, one of his favourite characters in Gundam Franchise.

A girl, in a sense, as crazy as he is. Helping to steal a nuclear-powered Gundam? She did that, defecting from her nation and becoming a terrorist while stealing a capital ship in the process. She did that too. Behind that bubbly and even naive-looking pacifist exists that ferocious beast who will work tirelessly and even recklessly towards her goal. Thankfully it's peace she wants…

Oh, and she can give a speech which can stop war… in a sense… she is like Jeanne d'Arc.

"Kira, you will give us cover and watch for ZAFT forces, while we will harvest the water." Captain Ramius said as she was giving instructions for this operation.

"Roger that. I check out if we can find any mobile suit parts if possible as well."

His words make several people groan. This kid just can't stop with the machines…

"...Do that. Just prioritise our people's security." All Captain Ramius could do is just accept it.

"Yes, I know." The teen agreed with her condition.

"Good. Then let this mission begin."

None of them were happy with this, even Kira, though his condition was better because of the possibility that things progressing at this point still how they were in canon. They should not have missed when Lacus` ship gets destroyed.

They should be here quite early and there were no signs of that memorial ship.

It's either not here yet, OR it was already destroyed…

Without wasting any more time, Kira launched in his Strike with the custom loadout. He had the Launcher pack with the high-impact sniper rifle in separate mode. The beam rifle and the Shotgun with pair of beam sabers and beam boomerang.

The twin batteries this package had is something he wants to mix with Aile's package. If he has this mix, then the machine's performance will increase.

However, the speed will drop slightly because of the weight. He still needs to get better thrusters. This is where Mirage Colloid comes into play. He needs to get his hands on that Blitz model…

Eventually, the operation started, and Kira was on the lookout, looking around and making sure no ZAFT vessel or mobile suits were around.

The image was quite… apocalyptic, to say the least. Debris is everywhere. He could see cars… frozen people, toys of children and other things… it was a horrible reminder of what fear can do.

[Sir, 9 a clock. I am picking up a heat signature. A mobile suit]

Legion snapped Kira out of his thoughts as he turned around and flew towards the direction of 9 o'clock.

Eventually, he saw a recon GINN.

'Bingo, this means Lacus` ship was already destroyed if the Recon GINN are here. Those extra sensors look neat… however, too impractical.' Deciding that it's not worth it to keep parts of this, Kira put thrusters at max and rushed towards the Recon GINN.

The teen used the shock factor to surprise the recon unit as ge got close, pointed the Shotgun muzzle, and pressed the trigger.

A yellow shatter shot destroyed the upper part of the mobile suit. The battery, which was damaged caused the rest of the machine to blow up.

'That takes care of that… now, where are you?' Kira looked around, and his eyes eventually landed on something good! He saw destroyed regular GINN!

'Ohh… precious loot…'

Kira's Strike quickly flew over and started to inspect the stuff.

'The battery is intact, and the cockpit is still usable! This is good! I can get those extra monitors to start working on my 360-view cockpit!

Kira giddily started to work on removing the cockpit from these three destroyed GINNs, same with the batteries. that stuff is always useful to have.

As he was flying back and forth with the stuff he looted, his eyes eventually ended up on an escape pod…

He stopped in his tracks when he saw this! Finally! He found her!

Kira swiftly flew over there and picked up the pod gently. And then proceed to fly back to Archangel.

~~~~~~Archangel`s Hangar Bay~~~~~~

"Kira Yamato… it's against the rules to bring escaped pods without specific permission in front of the Captain."

"Is it? Well, I don't know the military protocol, never been in the military Ensign Badgiruel." Kira shrugged at her.

*Snort*

"He got you there, I sometimes forget that Kira is still civilian." Lieutenant Flaga said with an amused snort.

Though Natarle Badgiruel didn't like being made fun of like that, however, she has to accept the fact that Kira is indeed a civilian and he doesn't know all regulations…

Something the woman will try to fix. They can't bring in more civilians like that!

While they were all talking about Kira doing whatever he wanted, the escape pod was opened.

The first thing which left the pod was a purple ball…

A pink ball robot which has four flaps which allow it to fly or walk…

This was the Mascot of the Gundam franchise, a Haro…

[I see light! Light!]

The thing had basic A.I., Which squeaked in a robotic tone as it left the escape pod, followed by a pink-haired girl with cerulean blue eyes. The girl was dressed in a dress which made her look like a nobility or even a Princess. However, she was not a Princess in the literal sense. She could pass as one.

After all, her father is the Supreme Council Chairman of PLANT's.

Making her the daughter of the leader of a nation.

"Oh my! It seems I have been rescued! Hello everyone!" As she said that, she floated out. However, as she was floating like that, she would float away… they were in space, after all.

It took Kira several moments to process that he finally saw her in person instead of those videos from PLANT… as a music enthusiast, he has quite a bit of music he hoarded over the years. There are several Lacus songs there as well. The girl is a Songstress for a reason.

Seeing that she was floating away. Kira jumped forward and grabbed her and then pulled her back to the ground.

Everyone looked with quite a shock as they knew who this girl was.

"Oh my… this is not a ZAFT vessel is it?" She said with some slight shock. However, there is no fear in her eyes. It's like she believes nothing will happen to her even if she is on a ship which belongs to the enemy of her nation…

"No. You are in Archangel, Earth Alliance vessel." Kira explained simply. He was slightly feeling self-conscious which his friend noticed! Even Mu La Flaga and Captain Ramius saw!

They finally saw someone who could affect the pilot of Strike!

"You are Lacus Clyne, aren't you? The daughter of the Chairman of PLANT's?" The blonde Lieutenant asked the girl.

"What!?"

"For real?"

"That makes her part of ZAFT??" The soldiers slightly got confused as they almost pointed their guns at her.

"No, I am not with ZAFT. I am from PLANTs. Our military is ZAFT," Lacus explained herself with a small frown.

"...oh.."

"Lacus Clyne, we don't have the means to get you back to your home. In the meantime, you will be under our protection." Captain Ramius explained with a small frown before she looked at Kira, who was slightly looking at the Pink head with a unique sort of look like he was inspecting a unique species of humanity.

"Kira…"

"I will show her around."

"This is a military vessel—"

"I will keep with crew quarters." The teen quickly explained what he meant.

"Fine… she is not allowed anywhere else." Captain Ramius caved in. They need to keep the teen in optimal shape, so they give him those slight leeways. After all, he doesn't ask much, nor does he moan about his situation being the pilot of Strike.

"Oh, that would be lovely! So what's your name?" The girl instantly asked Kira, who was floating next to her after hearing the permission.

"... um… it's Kira Yamato, I am the one who found your escape pod." He explained to her that he was the one who found her.

He is pretty sure if it was someone else, her pot would have been ignored, and the girl could have died from starvation or lack of oxygen.

"My thanks! You are a nice person, aren't you, Mr Yamato!"

He grimaced upon hearing that.

"Not quite." That moment he remembered all those mobile suits he blew up…

"...Oh? Is there something wrong?" Now she asked curiously. Her naive curiosity truly… weirdly gets under his skin.

"Not quite. You could say I am someone in the middle." He said with a frown. He pulled her forward and towards the doors which lead to the interior of the ship.

"It appears the Kid found his first crush! That's golden!" Mu La Flaga said with a smirk. He almost looked silly with that smirk.

"...wow… Kira is interested in a girl!? You know, after two years studying with him, he has never been interested in any of them!" One of Kira's friends, Tolle, said with disbelief.

"Yes, he even looked self-conscious and embarrassed even?"

*Sigh*

"This is a military vessel. Romance and everything along those lines is forbidden." Ensign Badgiruel said with a frown as she started to get a headache from this!

There was a nervous chuckle from the civilian side. They were all teenagers, after all!

"You guys all decided to help to run this ship, so do keep all this to a minimum. " Captain Ramius said with a slightly strained smile. In comparison, she finds this all amusing and is slightly relieved that Kira still has such a part in him.

"""" Understood! Captain.""""

"Good, now return to your stations." The woman ordered the teens to return to their duties. Others followed as well.

Sure enough, everyone returned to their stations.

"So… um… what does the kid want to do with all this!?" Mechanics started to complain as there was a mountain of mobile suit parts!

"Let's just wait for the kid to return."

"I suppose… let's see what he got in the meantime."

Sure enough, the mechanics started to dig around with the GINN parts.
