Gundam Seed: Kira Reloaded Chapter 10

*Alarm Ringing*

[Archangel is entering Level 3 battle stations! I repeat! Archangel is entering Level 3 battle stations!]

The comms officer loudly said via loudspeaker. Kira jumped out of his bed and quickly got dressed before taking his earpiece and putting it in his ear.

He then rushed out from his quarters and started to run towards the pilot's dressing room, where he would put his pilot uniform on.

As he was running through the corridor, he saw Lacus' room doors open. The pink-haired girl came out looking half-asleep.

"Kira… what is going on?" She asked while rubbing her eyes.

"ZAFT are about to attack. Get back inside and wrap yourself with warm blankets." He said that as he grabbed her shoulders and pushed her back into her quarters.

"...Kira…remember the promise… if you see Athrun—"

"Don't worry. I am only going to leave him floating in space with a non-functional machine." Kira said simply before closing the doors.

Lacus sighed in relief. Kira will not go to try to kill Athrun! That's a small victory for her…

However, she quickly realised that she focused too much on Athrun! What Kira is going to do to the rest!?

Now she got restless, she quickly walked over to the computer terminal and started to check the options available to her.

'Where can I find live footage from this ship? It should have a live feed!' The girl tried several times before starting to complain.

"There should be some way to see what is happening outside!!!" She complained out loud before the screen changed without her touching anything!

"Hmm?"

She saw a void of space! Did she just get a live feed!? She saw options available to see through different cameras!

How did this happen!? Well, for now, it doesn't matter! At least she can see the battle unfold!

Kira rushed into the pilot dressing room and grabbed his pilot suit. Dressing it up quickly, he grabbed his helmet and was about to leave when he saw Mu La Flaga enter the changing room.

"Lieutenant, you are slow. If you continue like this, there won't be any prey for you left!" As Kira teased the lieutenant, he rushed out from the changing room and into the corridor towards the Hangar.

"Kids these days have no respect for the older generation! At least leave some GINNs for me, KIRA!"

"Roger that! Lieutenant!" Kira said that as he continued to rush towards his Strike.

He quickly boarded his machine and pressed the boot-up button. Moments later, he saw the Earth Alliance O.M.N.I Enforcer logo.

The three screens turned on, and he saw the outside. Moments later, the machine was moved on the catapult. In front of him, the tunnel lit up, and he could see the void of space at the end of the tunnel.

"Bridge give me the Aile flying support and the Ultra Impact Sniper rifle combo," Kira said to the Bridge as he checked out his machine systems one more time.

"Are you sure, Kira? With such a configuration, you can't recharge your weapons! And we don't have spare ones for that High Impact Rifle!"

"Don't worry, I will count my shots. Taking out those ships is the priority." Kira said to the bridge as he looked at his weapon readings.

The weapons are fully charged. The way they are, he will be able to shoot around 7 high-energy beams before the weapons become useless to him.

If that happens, he will have to switch to his beam sabers.

"Roger that."

Moments later the extra wings and thrusters package was added to the machine's back, and the pair of weapons were pulled out from the storage and handed over to the Strike.

Once everything the preparations were done he was ready to launch!

"Kira Yamato, Aile Strike, let's go!" He pressed the launch button and his machine was accelerated and then launched from the catapult deck.

Once he was in outer space, he pressed the phase shift armour button and then rushed towards the chasing ZAFT forces.

'Let's go. I want to see how good you guys become after that embarrassing defeat!' As Kira thought about that, he closed his eyes for a second. It was time to go all out! No more slacking! He will be outgunned! Worst case situation overrun!

That moment his mind became clear, a purple lotus flower above a sea bloomed and shattered, dropping purple particles into the water.

His S.E.E.D mode was turned on!

The moment he opened his eyes, everything was clear, no more idle thoughts, all of his years of training, studying, and practising surfaced and were reanalyzed, and his thought processing was operating at max.

'Since I am this far from Earth, the gravity barely is felt here, this means barely any resistance, and this means my rifle range is even longer.' As he concluded, he fused his weapons and pointed at two small dots in the distance.

[Sir, we are out of range.]

"Recalibrate Legion, add Earth's gravity well into your calculation and the distance we are in it."

[Recalibrating…]

Sure enough, the targeting OS reworked its targeting and allowed him to start targeting because he was in the supposed targeting range.

Kira saw four distinct machines launch from the right one. This should be the Vesalius. This means he can target the left one.

Without wasting time, he pressed the trigger and energy gathered in the 7-metre-long sniper rifle.

Then a thin yellow hyper-compressed energy beam was released.

As the four machines were rushing forward, several GINN were joining them from the other Nazca Class Destroyer.

However, before the full squad could launch, a yellow beam rammed into the bridge of this Nazca Class!

What was next was a chain reaction which caused the rest of the ship to explode as the yellow beam was like a hot knife cutting through everything.

The pilots were utterly shocked by this surprise attack! It came from nowhere! That Legged ship where the Strike is should be over 10 kilometres away! What kind of bullshit range was this!?

"Damn it! Who shot it!?" The Duel Gundam pilot Yzak exclaimed angrily as he saw this destruction!

He then uses this machine's cameras to track the source. Only after zooming in several times did he see a familiar white and blue machine! It was Strike, which is holding a long RIfle!

"THAT GUN! That bastard took my weapon!!!" Dearka exclaimed loudly over the comms as he looked pissed that someone was using his machine's weapon!

"I am pretty sure we were the ones who stole these machines in the first place." The Blitz Gundam pilot Nicol said with a sigh.

"Yes, but it was him who took it from me when I took it from those naturals!" Dearka elaborated on how he was the first one. Not that anyone cared, as they all were flying towards Strike at maximum speed.

"Guys… Kira is targeting Vesalius! I suggest we stop him immediately!" Athrun reminded everyone that Kira ain't messing around!

"There is a much longer recharge time when the weapon is in Hyper-Impact rifle mode! We must hurry now!" Dearka's tone quickly changed as he spoke in a panicky tone. He saw it too!

The moment they were close, Yzak was first on to open fire. He was itching to deal with the machine!

But Strike had already moved to the side to dodge the green beams and, in the meantime, diffused the weapons. He then pointed at Yzak's machine with the shotgun.

"As if!!" Yzak exclaimed with a smirk as he had an anti-beam shield in his left hand! Even if it's higher calibre beams, the shield will take it!

However, Kira wasn't targeting the chest area or the head area where the shield is protecting…

No, he went for the legs.

This… Yzak noticed, but he was too late and far too close to the Strike!

That Moment Duel lost both of its legs as the shotgun shredded both of the legs off!

"Damn it!!!"

Seeing this, Dearka quickly opened fire at the Strike to make it move away from Duel.

However, instead, Kira went even closer to the Duel and used a shield.

"Shit…"

The blasts from Buster shredded Duel's remaining hands, and the back was utterly destroyed by the friendly fire!

The machine was out of commission!

"Dearka! Are you insane!?" Extremely pissed off, Yzak contacted him via comms. The blonde pilot of Buster grimaced as he saw the state of the machine…

However, the other two machines, the Blitz and the Aegis, were circling from two directions. Kira looked at the black machine extra closely… he needed the parts of the Blitz!

The Aegis tried to contact the Strike in the meantime while the Earth Alliance machine used the Duel to kick off and rushed towards the Blitz with intentions of dismantling it!

"Athrun! Little help here!"

The Strike opened fire with its beam rifle in his right hand. The Blitz used its right-hand shield to block it. Blitz's right hand holds what is called 'Trikerios'. It has a shield, three physical attack needle-like objects, and a beam rifle combined into one.

Kira needs two pieces of tech from Blitz, the Trikerios and the Mirage Colloid. This machine Is the most important of all the five, because of it!

The needles-like weapons in Trikerios are the prototype Alpha stage of the Dragoon system, the independent pods which can reattach from machine and attack separately, which will be developed later on, and the Mirage Colloid and the particle it creates allow machines to move so fast that they leave the after images.

At this point, the Blitz has nothing of that. It's the prototypes of all those techs. As it is, the machine can only utilise the most primitive forms of those technologies.

Seeing that Kira is cornering Nicol, Athrun drooped the idea to communicate with his dangerous ex-friend instead, he rushed forward and opened fire at Kira. Who once again moved aside and allowed the beams to smash into Blitz!

That moment Kira saw the opportunity to strike. He dropped his beam rifle, grabbed one of his beam sabres, and struck down on the Blitz's right hand from behind!

Slicing it off cleanly, the Black machine quickly flew away to the side as it realised that he could die!

By this point, Dearka took Duel back to Vesalius, leaving only Strike, Aegis and Blitz…

"KID! Four GINN are getting close to Archangel!" The lieutenant contacted the teen as it was fighting against four GINNs at the back.

Kira's eyes widened as he grabbed the hand of Blitz, rapidly connected the hyper-Impact Rifle and rushed flying back to the Archangel.

Fuck this! He has what he wants and he took down one of the ships. He was thinking of taking care of Vesalius so that he could keep his promise to leave Athrun floating in space with a broken machine. But keeping Lacus safe is far more important than this!

"Return, this is a loss. We need to focus on the incoming battle against the Eight Fleet." The masked commander contacted the Blitz and the Aegis. Athrun, who heard that, could only grimace.

Once again, Kira Yamato got the upper hand… alone against two Nazca Class ships and their four GAT units… this is embarrassing, to say the least.

As Kira was rushing back, he took a snipping position at the retreating GINN. He then pressed the trigger and shot the High Impact Sniper rifle.

A single shot took out two machines. He then quickly separated the weapon and rushed forward towards the other two machines, which were running away in panic. The teen used the Shotgun to shred the GINN like they were made from paper.

Once he was done, he returned and picked up the Blitz hand with Trikerios and then flew back to the Archangel.

He was slightly dissatisfied with this… he lost sight of Archangel and allowed those GINNs to approach it!
