Gundam Seed: Kira Reloaded Chapter 11

As Strike returned to the Archangel, the mechanics groaned seeing that he brought another piece of another machine!

Basically…Loot!

"This kid…"

"I think that's the Blitz's hand."

"This makes another limb of that GAT unit."

The Mechanics talked among themselves as they started to count the things Kira collected from his two skirmishes.

This makes them excited from a mechanic's point of view! They get to play with 'enemies' toys!

"Zip it! We have things to do! we are still at level 3 battle stations!" Murdoch said seriously though he had a grin of his own.

After Kira's machine was stored, the lieutenant's Mobile Armour was already stored away. The blond pilot was waiting for Kira to leave his machine. There was a smile on his face as they once again crushed ZAFT. This time, they dealt some serious damage!

Destroying their newest Nazca-Class Destroyer was something Earth Alliance could not do before! As these ships just started to roll out from the drydocks

Yet, the kid destroyed one in his second proper launch!

As Kira left his machine, the mechanics were there to congratulate him!

"Kid! That was quite spectacular! You used that rifle from such a large distance! I doubt the original designers even though one could be used like that!"

"Yeah! Even then, you beat all four of those with minimum difficulty!"

After all those praises, it was time for the lieutenant, who simply patted his shoulder.

There wasn't a need to tell much for him since those mechanics gushed over.

"Not bad, kid. I think this is the greatest victory Earth Alliance has had since the beginning of the war."

Kira slowly nodded. Yes, this was quite the victory for the ship and him.

"Yes, it is lieutenant. I have what I wanted from this exchange." The Teen Coordinator said while looking at his newest loot.

"Oh? The Blitz's arm? I don't know if I should be impressed or concerned that you care about this more than one should need to." The blond pilot of Moebius Zero said with a pained smile.

"It's the technology behind it. In a war, technology plays a big part. These GAT units were supposed to scale back to winning the war in Earth Alliance's favour. However, they ended up In ZAFT's hands, making the favour continue to be with them." Kira simply shrugged at him. It sometimes amazes him how people who find themselves in the war don't really care about this. Only the ones who are at the top know the truth.

"Yeah, I guess so. So does this mean this hand holds the secrets of winning the war?" Mu La Flaga asked with a grin.

"No, not really. It holds the secret in making my Strike better." The teen answered with a grin of his own.

"... Of course… Here I thought you had something groundbreaking. Turns out you just want to tinker with your machine!" The blonde man groaned upon hearing that.

"And that's what it needs. Once this machine has more data, it can be used to make better mobile suits. I thought you knew that already." Kira said that while rolling his eyes.

'Though I doubt I will allow them to get that data', The Teen Coordinator thought to himself with an internal frown.

"I knew that! Anyway, get some rest. I don't think we saw the last of ZAFT." Mu La Flaga quickly changed the theme of the conversation.

The Teen Coordinator slowly nodded with a hum. It was still quite early. Well, he can't tell that since they were in space, but they do follow Earth's time, and the fight was in the early hours of the morning.

"I will see you later, Lieutenant."

The blonde simply nodded at him.

As Kira was walking back to his room Lacus was waiting for him. She was leaning against the wall while looking lost in thoughts.

"You should return to your bed. It's still early." His words got her out of her thoughts.

"Kira…"

Lacus exclaimed when she saw him. There was some worry in her eyes.

"You had it rough. Are you okay?" She asked him while slightly moving closer to him. The girl didn't know what to do in this situation. Should she hug him?

"I am fine. Quite good, in fact." He said that with a small smile. Which, for some reason, didn't go down with her as she got quite close. She inspected him from top to bottom.

"No, you destroyed a ship, quite a big ship. I can't see that it has you quite annoyed that you had to do it." She explained to him while looking directly into his eyes. There was a certain staring competition happening between those two.

*Sigh*

"My small amount of annoyance didn't escape from you," Kira said that while caving in. There was a small smile on her lips as she felt like she was victorious in this one.

"No, it didn't."

"I see…"

'She can already read through my poker face… is this how coordinators who are born from politicians see through people? Quite dangerous, I stay away from them. I prefer my 18-metre-tall killer robots.' Kira thought to himself with a small hidden grimace.

'Yet, there is one weapon which I have against this Pink Princess.' That moment he smirked at her, which made her slightly curious and a little bit defensive.

"In that case, what do you suggest?" The Strike's Pilot asked her while his right hand went up and gently grabbed her chin. His thumb brushed past her lips.

His actions made her eyes widen, atomic blush exploded from her cheeks.

'So Bold!'

Her brain for a second short circuit.

He leaned forward. This made her panic!

'Is he going to k-k-kiss me!?'

Yet, he passed her face and whispered something into her ear, which made her blush only increase!

"There is something I have in mind."

Lacus's eyes nearly started to spin as she got some ideas from the way he was behaving!

"W-What? Y-You h-have in mind?" She asked with a stuttering voice.

"We are going to cuddle."

"..."

"..."

"Cu—ddle?" The Pink Songstress tried to process what he was saying.

"You don't know what… is cuddle?" He asked her with a dumbfounded tone.

He was so shocked that he pulled back and looked at her with disbelief. He was less shocked to face a pair of Nazca-class Destroyers accompanied by four Gundams and a whole squad of GINNs!

"...No? Is this something I should know?" The pinkhead was even more confused after seeing his expression!

*Sad Sigh*

He simply grabbed her and pulled her into his room.  who didn't know what to think simply went along with him.

However, the next few moments made her once again blush like a tomato as she ended up being hugged from behind while being with Kira in his bed!

"This is what it means to cuddle. I am shocked that you don't know what this is."

Kira speaking so close to her ear made her slightly tingle. This tingle was something in a good way, as she liked this whole cuddle thing!

"...Maybe? I don't know. Do you know that I am the daughter of a Chairman? I don't know much about such a thing." The girl defended her lack of knowledge.

"Hmm…I see…"

He said with a sleepy voice as he was already drifting away into dreamland. Lacus picked that as she didn't say anything instead, she tried to relax.

However, she didn't realise that she started to drift away into sleepiness alongside him. This warm feeling made her extremely vulnerable to sleepiness!

~~~~~~Around 4 Hours Later~~~~~~

When Kira woke up later, the first thing he saw was a sea of Pink hair.

It took him a few seconds to process what was going on! Lacus was sleeping on top of him! He remembered hugging her from behind, but somehow they ended up in this kind of position!

The girl was treating him like some sort of teddy bear!

His small shock only lasted for a few moments before he smiled to himself.

His hands wrapped around her, and he proceeded to continue with his cuddle.

Only that this kind of arrangement only lasted for a few moments as the girl in question slowly started to wake up.

Just like how he reacted to this situation, so did she have her own.

Lacus swiftly lifted her head and looked at him! Her mouth slowly opened, and her cheeks turned red once again!

"It seems you took cuddling in strides," Kira said with a knowing look on his face. He even looked sagely for a few moments.

"This…I…"

He didn't say anything. Instead, he just continued to lie as if there was nothing embarrassing happening. In truth, he likes this development quite a bit.

"...Why are you not saying anything!" The Pink Songstress said with a small pout. Here she was, blushing and trying to come up with an answer!

"Say what? I like this situation. So I am enjoying the moment." He explained simply to her.

"..."

Now that he said that, she noticed how she was lying on top of him, his arms wrapped around her back, and he was hugging her!

For a few moments, she tried to process the speed of how fast this was developing. It's like… everything is falling into places at rapid speed, and she doesn't know how to lower the speed of this!

"...I suppose…" In the end, she just gave up. It's her fault she ended up in this place!

After laying like this for a few minutes she decided to at least get the most she could. As the daughter of the current Chairman, she still needs to do her part and try to get this war to end with as few casualties as possible.

"Kira…"

"Hmm?"

"How do you think the war will end?" She asked him while continuing to lay down the way she was. It is quite relaxing with such a heat source.

"...Sometimes it amazes me how little people check History for references." He said while looking at the ceiling of his room.

"What do you mean?" She asked curiously now.

"History is full of similar examples. But the best explanation is the race to develop the best kind of weapon.

First, it was your PLANTs that built the GINN, then it was Earth Alliance that built the GAT units of theirs. If you follow the current trend, then it's ZAFT which is currently winning." Kira explained the current situation.

"It's either ZAFT wins now, or Earth Alliance which reveals a new weapon that balances out the scales." He added a few more bits.

"...You mean something like your Machine?" She asked with some realisation.

"Strike and I are the only single unit, ZAFT are already developing their equivalent to the Earth's Alliance GAT Units. The thing is… it all depends on the next major move either from ZAFT or Earth Alliance."

'And it's not that space battle we are moving towards. My performance should not impact that much, Operation Spitbreak will happen regardless. What matters is the results.'

Kira thought to himself, he is feeling slightly chilly about that catastrophe in Alaska.

"...So if this continues as it is ZAFT will win?" She asked after processing what he said.

"As if it's that easy. You forget who's at the top of the Earth Alliance. A cornered animal is still an animal." He said with a  snort remembering how they easily sacrificed the entire Eurasian Fleet. They used all those ships as bait before detonating their HQ…

They used that as a means to destroy the bulk of the ZAFT Invasion force.

"...I guess it's not that easy."

"No, it's not. It's easier to think about smaller things and let those who care about big things do their planning.

As the way we are, in the current situation, we can't change those big things."

Lacus, who heard that slowly hummed with agreement. It's not as easy as she thought… now she realised that she is quite powerless the way she is.
