Collar6 #1090

Hiho everyone. So after much consideration (and annoying my readers) I've decided to just re-upload the entire C6 archive. Probably over at my Pixiv, though I'm still fishing around for places that might be more welcoming to my unique brand of action smut. I will be dropping the idea of the C6 'remaster' as it simply loses too much of its personality in the editing.

I've also decided to focus on Collar6 with this Patreon, since it's why most of you are here. Collar(ed)6 will finish up shortly (it gets updated next weekend) and we'll go from there. I'll also run polls to see if y'all want pin-up art or stand-alone C6 strips that focus on the sexy. Either way, I will orient myself towards C6 here.

I'm still zig-zagging my brain with regard to the free public comic. I'll keep y'all updated on all fronts. Thank you all for the support and love. I desperately need it at times like this.

Don't misread me. I'm not trying to pander to anyone, I'm trying to make the strip more in line with what *I* want. The writing, especially at the beginning is sloppy and demonstrates ten-years-ago-me's lack of understanding BDSM and the importance of safe and consensual. The remaster, in other words, is a personal project for me. I do not intend to remove any of the world building, mythos, or sexual encounters. I do still plan to make the untampered original available to the public again once I find a safe place for it.

You weren't, no need to apologize! I couldn't stop myself from continuing work on the remaster anyways, so you'll still get to look at my attempts at editing things up to my liking. My Pixiv page is: <a href="https://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=36336431" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=36336431</a> Thanks for the consistent and wonderful comments!

I'm sorry if I was one of those who had caused you so much grief, regarding the remastered version! I just wanted to give you my honest feedback on both versions of the story, since while I do like how you did things originally, I was also curious to see how things would have changed in the remaster; but if you feel it doesn't work, that's ok... Do you have a link up for your Pixiv page then? Just want to add it to my list of favourite artists on that website. But, back to the comic, and it looks like Michelle's starting to get serious in the fight against Xor and his puppets; with her landing a powerful blow on Alexia, one which looks like it might take the Golden Pony Queen out of this fight (at least for a little while, given how Xor can force her body to fight way past what her normal pain limits are)! However, it seems as if her golden pony mask just got broken in that last clash (or at the very least a part of it did, referencing a classic trope: that of the Broken Faceplate)... Wonder if we are about to get a proper face reveal for her fairly soon? It's going to be interesting, especially if one of the girls that are not under Xor's control (and still awake after being smacked around so hard) will actually recognize her (due to a past connection yet to be shown).

Oh, and I actually enjoy the Sci-Fi Fantasy world you've created -- the sexiness of the characters is just one additional highlight.

Great Scott

You know, there are some classic books that get turned into movies. (the Seven Harry Potter books got turned into 8 movies; the 3 Lord of the Rings books got turned into three movies.) Almost everyone who has read the books usually thinks that they had to cut too much out of the book to make the movie. I'm thinking you feel you're in the same boat -- your original C6 is the Book, which everyone likes, despite the various twists and turns and subplots that delay the "main story line". Your remaster feels like you're trying to create the abridged movie version. But in doing so, you may be removing the soul of why we like all of the characters, why we feel their pain as they become more human. (Yes, even the coffee scenes.) You've created a fantastic fantasy world with major mythology behind it. There's nothing wrong with that. But your characters are still human. It may not be necessary to create the abridged "bing bing bing action adventure" movie out of a long thoughtful novel (series). Have faith in your own writing talents -- you don't necessarily have to pander to the masses of millennials that have short attention spans. (I for one have periodically gone back into the archive to reread a few of the old arcs, and found them just as enjoyable the second or third times.) Hang in there.

Hehe, yep, she's serious now!

Thank you! I had to use reference material for that pose, I couldn't wrap my head around it!

The early bits were going to see the most changes. Ginger and Laura would have already come into the strip collared. We'd have gone from Butterfly's challenge *immediately* into the spank-off with most of the fight edited out.

Fiona

My interest in Remaster was the story differences that would result from the revision. If doing those edits were costing the strip its soul, then I fully support shelving the idea.

Wild Card

Reuploading the entire archive and ditching the remaster is the wisest decision in my opinion. You always need the bad to contrast with the good. The worst parts of Collar Six help the best parts to stand out. One might look at Season 1 of Star Trek TNG, then contrast with Season 3. It will also serve to remind you of where you came from, and how far you have come.

Not sure if it's an option you could consider but I've heard PornHub is opening it's doors to all the artists that are being forced off of Tumblr. I'll see if I can find a pic of the Tweet string in question. <a href="https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/321086641211047938/520032586047946773/FB_IMG_1544055822918.jpg" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/321086641211047938/520032586047946773/FB_IMG_1544055822918.jpg</a> This is the first thing I was shown. I'd look into it and if it's true, you've got a potential avenue.
