Collar6 #1094

There WERE four panels to this strip but when I began inks on the first panel I botched it bad. Xor/Variscite looked as if she'd been punched in the nose rather than guarding herself, as I'd been trying to make it appear. I didn't have time to redo it unfortunately, so I had to run with the three panel page we have here. In truth I think it came out better for it.

Also, I had drawn Laura into the final panel looking up at Xor/Variscite in shocked bemusement, but Laura wouldn't have been able to do such since she's currently occupying subspace, along with the others, so I had to omit that. Like an idiot, I erased her after putting the inks in place, but I used the screen tool in PS to darken the area around so you can still see her. If you're wondering why she's looking directly up, it's because she was supposed to be looking at Xor's exorcised spirit, not Variscite. And the missing fourth panel? Well it's in the trash can, because I didn't want anyone to see how badly I botched that one >.>

As usual I've included the B&W version and the untexted, full-sized strip! I'll be back next Monday with a new C6! Thank you everyone! Love you all!

And with that last bit of trash talk between the two foes, Xor's finally been sent packing, at least for the moment. But, like he's said here, both of their paths are going be to crossing again fairly soon; given that Michelle and the others still have to defeat the Starlight Butterfly (whoever that person is underneath their mask, with this person potentially being under Xor's mental influence, or at the very least he considers them to be an ally of his); before they can finally remove the chastity belts which they've been trapped in (which will be quite the relief for them)! Not only that, while Michelle may have beaten Xor's spirit for the second time and freed all four of the people that he was mentally controlling (namely Midnight, Alexia, Sardonyx and Variscite), we just don't know how this event's going to affect any of these people in the long term, since Variscite may still be keen to continue with her attempts to capture those who have sought asylum under Michelle's protection (along with Michelle herself); unless Nora or one of the other Association Phantom steps in to deal with her (which might make for a good 'OH BLEEP' moment for Variscite, especially if a certain one-liner from an 1989 cop film is used)... And there's also another weird thing for Michelle and her allies to start considering here: just what exactly is going on at the Blackstone stables, if their method of messing with people's minds ended up leaving them wide open to being controlled by Xor's influence?
