GUI Preview, New Goals, New Tiers, New Poll Rules, New Posts

Hello there, my wonderful people! First of all, that's the rough concept art for the new JPDE GUI. The final product will be much more defined and detailed but I wanted to share it with you all since, you know, you made it happen.

Moving on, after much deliberation and consulting I’ve decided about the future of this Patreon page. Since it looks like you guys don’t want to make it stop growing, I have to keep offering more stuff in return, don’t I? 

NEW GOALS

There’s the little problem that I can’t pump out more stuff monthly because of the time it takes me to write and code new routes of the same quality and for my artists to pump out new art.

What I can do, though, is offer you special episodes. What I mean by that is: have you ever seen Anime OVAs? Original Video Animations like, for example, the Dragon Ball Movies. They’re special episodes external to the main series’ timeline, and that’s what I will offer with further goals.

Each time we reach a new one, I will start working on a new Special Episode. The new goals are as follows: 

1000$ - You unlock the JPDE Valentine’s Day Special! 

1500$ - You unlock the JPDE Summer Festival Special!    

2000$ - You unlock the JPDE Halloween Special! 

2500$ - You unlock the JPDE Beach Episode Special! 

That said, that’s not all I will be offering you if we reach further goals. It’s only fair that I start offering you stuff other than JPDE, as I have mentioned before. 

The tagline above says ‘Free Visual Novels’, not ‘Free RWBY Fan Games’, after all. I’m currently preparing an introductory trailer for a New Project that I’d like to work on with your patronage which I hope you will like. 

NEW TIERS

I’ve added two new patronage tiers which will allow you to directly influence JPDE’s Progress and as such they’re both limited in number. 

The Side of Power

40$ - Limited to 3

You choose one of the characters that can go in the monthly Route Event Poll, plus all the previous tiers’ rewards. 

#1 - You can only choose characters who already have a sprite in the game. 

#2 - You can’t choose a character who got a Route Event the previous month. 

#3 - You can’t choose a character who’s already got two Route Events. (To be removed as the Routes get filled up.) 

The Side of Birth

50$ - Limited to 4

You choose one of the characters in the monthly New Character Poll, plus all the previous tiers’ rewards except The Side of Power.

#1 - You can choose any character in the RWBY series but only if they have appeared in Volumes 1 through 3 

#2 - You can choose a character who’s already in the game but with a different outfit 

NEW POLL RULES

Then, since we’ve reached a point where we’ll have more than One Route Event a month and more than One New Character, JPDE’s Polls introduce Secondary Ballots.

That means that starting from next month each poll will have two votation turns. It will work like this. 

First Turn - You get X Number of options. At the end of the Poll, number 1 wins and gets taken out of the running and into the game. 

Second Turn - The three runner ups get a new poll. The winner of this second turn also goes onward to become art or a route event. 

Let’s say that we have a poll with Ruby, Weiss, Yang, Blake, Pyrrha and Nora. At the first turn, Ruby gets first place while Nora, Pyrrha and Weiss get 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place.

In the second ballot you will be only be able to vote for Nora, Pyrrha and Weiss. The winner of the second ballot is the second winner of the month.

And finally, I’ve decided to start making some Behind the Scenes posts. I’ve had a lot of people on various platforms ask me things about the process that goes into making JPDE and Visual Novels in general.
