JPDE2 - Patreon Perks (SUBMISSIONS FOR MAY ARE CLOSED)

Today it's a big announcement... Also, make sure to vote in the Dance/Special Ending Poll if you haven't yet. This post, instead, it's all about Perks! Patreon Perks! For JPDE2!

So, the production of JPDE2 is a different kind of beast compared to JPDE. Inserting extra routes/dates/events is not as simple and straightforward as in Renpy, since it necessitates a higher number of resources... Those will eventually come but! I decided it was time to give you something more tangible and immediate, which would allow you to contribute to the creation of JPDE2's world!

Then, I realized: hey, I'm gonna have to populate this world with a lot more stuff. There's going to be an overworld, NPCs, civilians, so many people and sprites, who should realistically all have names, lives, dialogue that should update as the story goes on...

Thus, the new Patron perks are all about those NPCs! You will be able to put your own character in JPDE2!

WARNING: THESE PERKS WILL ACTIVATE STARTING FROM THE 1ST OF MAY 2022!

The benefits are explained below, alongside the split per Patron tiers!

Explanations:

[Choice of Name] You will be able to choose the name of your character!

[Choice of Background] You will be able to choose a background story for your character!

[Choice of Dialogue] You will be able to craft a box of dialogue for your character! [Limit: 300 characters]

[Choice of Updating Dialogue] For as long as you have this perk, you will be able to update your character's dialogue, adding more boxes of text each month! [Limit: 300 characters per each]

[Choice of Colours] You will be able to choose the natural colours of your character's overworld sprite!

[Choice of Interaction] You will be able to choose the behaviour of your NPC on the game's overworld! Will they run? Will they hide? Will they ignore the MC who will have to eavesdrop?

[Custom Sprite] You will get a custom sprite for your character!
