Best episode of GOT! The music, the Frey Pie, the Jon-is-not-Ned’s-bastard reveal! Ned’s honor went even deeper than we knew: he allowed his wife and everyone else to think he returned from war with a bastard son, just to protect the baby from Robert and to fulfill a promise to his sister. All the pain it caused to Lady Stark, and to the boy she hated, had to be so difficult for Ned to witness but he never broke his word.

If you want to see a great hilarious sitcom like Blazing Saddles made around the same time, All in the Family is amazing. You may have heard of The Jefferson’s, and All in the Family was the show it spun off from. It deals with a lot of very politically incorrect stuff. Almost like Sacha Baron Cohen. You can try the clips and see if you like it first. “Lionel’s Engagement” is a great one, as well as the Sammy Davis Jr bit, and Archie Vs the KKK. Yes, they go hardcore with the satire. Blazing Saddles level. Amazing.

One thing I never understood about Ned Stark. I know he was honorable and all that and would not betray a trust, but of all people in the world he could have -- should have -- informed about Jon was his wife. Catelin Stark went to her death believing that Ned had cheated on her and fathered a baby with another woman. Ned would have known Catelin would never betray the secret either and could have told her that she was raising his nephew, *not* his son. Then Catelin would have loved Jon and raised him as his stepmother, shrugging off the wagging tongues behind her back about her "cheating" husband. Instead, she was bitter and resentful having to raise Jon and treated him as a hated burden, if she engaged with him at all. Which, while not painting Catelin in the best light as a person but showing her as a normal flawed human being, denied Jon a mother's love. Though I suppose there is a good plot purpose to that, for if Jon grew up as truly part of the family and not an outsider, he would never have gone to Castle Black in the first place and set in motion the events that would follow. Still, it hurts to think that Catelin died never knowing the truth.

The “I will ruin something of yours because I know what’s best for you” is some serious mental pathology. The explosion of the reactor genre during the pandemic was understandable giving a pseudo social interaction without actually sharing a room with anyone. I think it was actually a public service for many who needed it. Inevitably some will feel that bond too strong and this isn’t the first time we have had some major stalker flags going up in the comments. I don’t mean the 99.99999% that are feedback or encouragement but the self destructive or full on one way conversations are certainly not healthy. In one sense I feel bad for them but at the same time these are symptoms of people who will eventually end up hurting themselves or those around them. I hope they get the help they neef and wish there were better ways to flag them to get that help. Stay safe out there, for the internet is dark and full of terrors.

The Reveal was that jon Snow is the bastard child of Lyanna and Rhaegar Targaryen. That's why she told Ned to promise to hide Jon because If Robbert find out she cheated and had Rhaegar son, Rob will kill Jon. So Ned decided to lie and say he's his bastard child. Jon is the son of Lyanna stark and Rhaegar Targaryen. That is why she tells Ned to not tell Robert, because if he knows it is a Targaryen he will kill the baby. It was believed that Rhaegar kidnapped Lyanna and raped her, which is why Robert hated all Targaryen's. Ned kept this secret to his grave to protect Jon, his wife even hated both of them because she thought Ned was unloyal. Also Rhaegar was Danys brother if you did not know! lol

One being that the actress playing the nun who had wine dumped on her spent an entire day of shooting getting water boarded just for a 2 minute scene to come of it. Yep, the big zombie guard is the Hound's brother. He was mortally wounded by O'Brien's poisoned weapon during Tyrone's trial by combat, but the sketchy wannabe Maester Qyburn that killed Grand Maester Pycelle in this episode used his dark science to keep him "alive". You could see him a couple of times through the seasons when he was twitching around on a table in the background in Qyburn's office.
