[Patron-Only Feed] We're making headway

EDIT: The Monthly Dropbox Archive is now up to date with everything drawn this month.

A good batch of NSFW Sketch Suggestions were completed, but most of this week was devoted towards working on the Elayne Beaumont comic.

In my last post, I asked some questions about the Patreon experience; don't worry, it's only 2 simple questions. As we're moving to the end of the year, I like to get everyone's thoughts as I think about potential ways to improve the Patreon experience. That post is [here].

Basic Notes:

Elayne Comic Progress

The Elayne Comic is coming along. Excluding the cover & introductory pages, we've made it through 10/40 pages. We're about the enter the action scenes soon, so that may be more complex… Still, less repetitive than drawing a bunch of heads, haha. It's still pretty tough work; with an entire page or two taking up the better part of a work day…

It's otherwise going fairly well for something that's an obvious rush job. It's a bit challenging because the work is in black & white, which means that the distribution of values (tonal shades) and creating contrast works differently than when working with colour.

I don't know how much work I'll be getting done this weekend, as I'm spending a portion of today (and maybe tomorrow) helping someone move, which can be tiring work.

Jaws, but without the Shark

Speaking of stressors -- I recently expressed some health concerns on Twitter (and was entirely insufferable). I don't always notice it, so I am unsure if it's merely my imagination, but I was feeling some annoying pressure in the back of my jaw. I described the feeling as: It's as if my lower jaw was hanging loose, so the weight of it was putting tension on the hinge connecting my upper & lower jaws.

I don't entirely know what it was, and I'm worried about my health and the possible financial hit I might take from having to deal with it… I have been negligent about my health for many years.

Slightly related; I recently got a cushion for my butt, and that might be good for my back?

Linktober

Having said all that, I don't think I'll be able to participate in Linktober. At least not to the same degree as I had hoped. This upsets me greatly, because I've been wanting to for the last two months. I really love the Legend of Zelda and it would have been a good opportunity to theme an entire month's worth of artwork around it, as it is a daily challenge.

With all these other issues having come up, and the fact that my comic is taking more of my day than expected. I don't know just how viable Linktober will be; I get the feeling that, if I do participate, I'll probably only fail.

Maybe it's possible… I just don't KNOW if it is, as it seems unlikely, since I didn't get any work for it done ahead of time as I had planned.

Other

I have been enjoying Link's Awakening a lot. I should go back to making Zelda in Dreams...

Unrelated, my Mono Green Stompy deck in MTG Arena is no longer considered legal Standard and I am very angry about it! I will miss all of the 11 cards that were not reprinted for Standard Rotation. This was my most comfortable deck...

Anyway, thank you for your support.

Don't forget to eat & sleep.

Such good expressions this month.
