Make sure to check the Monthly Dropbox Archive to see some of these sketches. A few are from the NSFW Sketch Suggestions, so they'll appear in the archive later in the month.
Work in Progress
Perhaps I should do this with the Patron-Only Feed more often; providing a sneak preview of works that are not yet finished. It's just a tiny bit cooler than cropped previews of already completed work.
I've been trying to slow down a bit lately, which is why there has yet to be a $3 post.

There are some cool shapes going on here, and I like the folds on the arm. I'm not sure the folds are correct though, so they might change. I spent a more time working out the angles of the body and the legs feel like they exist in a physical space; like her legs are grounded & coming forward in perspective.
A lot of my work features generalized & stiff poses, with an emphasis on sharp, contrasting angles. Although that can be cool, it often comes off as a bit artificial. My figure work is very straightforward and there usually isn't much depth. I'm trying to shift away from it though, so having more time to work allows me to be more ambitious and it gives me more time to solve creative problems.
Loving the Process
There's something to be said for slowing down to enjoy the PROCESS of creating, rather than purely the results. I think people (and myself) have a tendency to focus too much on results at the expense of comfort and emotional well-being. Though it is difficult to not do so in this competitive environment. I'm always worried that I'm not doing enough.
Still, being more process-focus has a wide assortment of benefits -- Especially when paired with the prioritization of quality over quantity.
- Higher levels of creativity.
- Better & more dynamic illustrations.
- More time to breathe and relax.
Honestly, who ever actually WANTS to be in a rush anyway?
Remember you always have access to me, so that if you're ever worried about the amount of time something is taking me, just let me know.
Dreams Content (NSFW-ish?)
My slower production schedule has given me a bit more free time, so I've revisited Dreams (PS4). For those who don't know, Dreams is pretty much an engine for creation: art, games, music, film, etc. I used it to make some Zelda stuff a few months back.
So far, I've been focusing on my Elayne Beaumont concept, which I never finished the character model for.

I've adjusted the dimensions of Elayne's figure to be more cartoony, and thus, readable from a distance. The face will benefit from this change, as rendering a realistic face takes a lot of time to make convincing. I expect I'll need to make a few more bodily adjustments.
Some of the elements are being completely done however, like the coat. I've made some changes to the boots and gold trims of her outfit too. The previous model was really round & generalized before, so I've been trying to add a bit more detail and sharp edges, like in the boots, shoulder pads, and even her gloves. I still have more work to do, however.
There's a short video of Elayne walking, with jiggle physics, using a slightly older model in the Dropbox Archive.

Unrelated
I've purchased Death Stranding and I'm really enjoying it. One of my favourite things to do in games, like Breath of the Wild or Red Dead Redemption 2, is just walk around, and the game has a lot of that with it's simple mission objectives. I'm not very far, but it's cool to me.
Don't forget to eat & sleep!
