Defining Duke, Episode 102 | Is Xbox Planning a Surprise 2023 Showcase?

Many fans are now left searching for answers following the absence of Xbox at The Game Awards despite apparently having three first party, AAA games arriving in the next six months. Following a tweet from Aaron Greenberg saying that we won't have to wait long to hear more, we can't help but wonder what this may mean. Follow up reports and downplaying by Bethesda all point to some sort of event being on the horizon. What will it be and will be enough to overcome the rough conclusion to 2022? The Dukes dive it. We also have new details on questing in Starfield as well as Halo Infinite slowly gaining traction! Great show so far guys. Really like the hogwarts legacy convo. I agree with yall, it's sad that we can't just have a discussion because of a difference of opinions. Everyone thinks they're right...you can't change people's minds. I think it's a lack of emotional maturity if people can't have a simple disagreement.

Like if someone said "all black people should be slaves" or "women are too stupid to vote" you would look down on them, but at some point these opinions were commonplace. People should be able to speak their mind, but shit opinions have a way of inviting hate. JK Rowling's opinions are still controversial and should be welcomed, but if the person above or others find it ethical to trash on their opinions/cease support, then they have that right. "Kicking them out of the industry" is a bit extreme but they have a right to advocate for that, too.

Sounds like you want an echo chamber, which is rich considering you’re on a Patreon founded by someone they tried to kick out of the industry for hacking unpopular ideological views. The reason there’s such a divide in the United States is because no one want to rationally discuss conflicting ideologies, but instead try to lump everyone who disagrees with them all together under one label.

Hate speech, fascism, racism, etc. are terms throw around far too flippantly and the left seems to think they can have a monopoly on what views are considered acceptable. F all the way off with that.

As for the criticism I don’t get it, yeah you guys agree a lot but this is an Xbox podcast, what do you expect? Often one of you will make a point or tell a story and the other one will say “I agree but also… “ so we get a variety of opinions and if they want to criticize you they also have to criticize Dustin and Chris who do the same thing
