The only thing that took him out was the king kong gun and he clashed with it for a while before getting overpowered at the end. Cracker was about to get mopped if gear 4 didn't run out while during the king kong gun.

I never paralled it with Griffith (fuck him btw lmao). It's also a reference to a very famous story in France about Louis XIV's hidden brother. There is a huge historical lore about it, but this dude was forced by his family to hide with a metal mask so that Louis XIV could become king. Basically, the family did the same thing to Sanji, minus the whole superhuman thing !

When you realised that 90% of naruto fights had always been kurama and naruto vs villains. Ichigo and naruto always be having some other entities inside them that helps them in battles whenever they about to lose. Luffy dont have that treatment. He has the strawhats to help him but atleast he dont get no random powerups out of nowhere just because he angry.

Rewatcing this episode almost bought me to tears. Sanji got it rough but thats still my boy. Sanji is a failure and his stuff still didnt take. He just trained his butt off and worked to get stronger on his own.

If you want to see the rest of the arc in anime form then I suggest you watch it because the quality of those episodes are good, otherwise I 100% reccomended you watch the Sasuke gaiden stuff, which happens within the last 30 eps or so of shippuden, it’s pretty good, as long as you have finished the Narita manga of course

I actually quit Shippuuden during the ninja war because of the filler. I just couldn't take it anymore, and I never bothered to go back, and I still haven't gone back to finish the canon episodes. Naruto filler is... was the worst filler I'd seen in any anime. Black Clover later took the title of most absolutely agonizing filler.

@31:00 my one of my favorite referances ever in one piece the metal mask is a 100% ref to berserk and griffiths capture and torture ... also what makes one punch man so funny is it rips on the tropes of mainstream shonen where they learn and get stronger through adversity ie luffy, naruto, goku, ichigo ect. saitama said in the first episode his life is boring because he is too strong lol.
