We have watched and updated this during the week so I think we all know where we stand.
It took exactly a month for Wave 4 to start and finish and Wave 5 to be confirmed.
Some people felt this was the end of the world and some people truly learnt, I hope most of us are in the latter camp.
I am certainly a little concerned with how some people managed this pull back....some felt this was a lot tougher than they anticipated but in reality, it was a month long and in the grand scheme of things, it was a drop in the ocean.....so you must assess how weighed your portfolio is....is there too many high risk stocks? too many growth stocks with weak foundations?...not enough diversity?....uneven allocation of money in each stocks?
One thing you need to do is learn from this experience because when Wave 5 completes....the market is definitely going to make you know and feel it.
I had some people in this group who were not able to handle their stock pull back for even a week or decline by -10% or more....lets be very clear here, any stock can decline by -50% at any stage....$AAPL, the strongest stock in the market, declined from $182 to $124 in 2022 and then rose from $124 to $198 in 2023.....this is $AAPL, not some mickey mouse stock....which would certainly feel things a lot worse.
This is all part of the investing process, these declines WILL ABSOLUTELY happen again but you need to be mentally prepared for it.
Wave 4 was only a lesson.....we have come out of this stronger as individuals and stronger as a group.
Life does not reward those that give up, only those that learn.
