"Tramp Steamer", great idea! I'll try to add that. I already have some references to the "bomber crew" model as seen in movies. A crew of half a dozen misfits each with some specialized talent needed for a successful finish to the mission

Reading the one on the Mission Control Model of spaceflight makes me wonder about the "Tramp Steamer" model of spaceflight that is popular both in gaming and in fiction. Firefly is a prime example of a bulk carrier "tramp steamer". The only time you might see bulk cargo is when you're going to some pissant outpost that isn't big enough to warrant a cargo container. This relegates the tramp steamer to a white cargo van making deliveries while the real cargo hauling is done by trains and containerized cargo vessels.
