I hadn't thought about the need for accommodating TV camera crews, but you are right!

Never fear! Smith is here!

I've had fights over bad ship design in SFRPGs. I would blame Star Trek, except they were basing their ideas on an older movie: Forbidden Planet. As much as I like that movie, it's space opera/Shakespeare. The C-57D is a flying saucer with artificial gravity, so yeah, the USS Enterprise had to have that as well. The Enterprise's failings is that it was designed for a 1960's TV film camera crew, which is why it's corridors were so wide. Until we get an orbital movie studio, (Hear that Elon? ORBITAL) we're stuck with magnetic boots and painful wirework.

The Maths! Oh, the pain! The pain! (Guess who my favorite LIS character was...)
