Yeah Geto has been talking about sealing Gojo with the Prison Realm since like... what... episode 5 of season 1? if not before? This has always been their plan from as long as we've known the characters. It was bound to happen. Nothing crazy evil can happen as long as Gojo is free. Even Megumi's daddy admitted as much.

2024-01-19 07:23:05 +0000 UTCBtw, if you don't know yet, no one knew Geto was "alive" (not really him but his body) so that's what he used to trick Gojo, his pressence, he made Gojo think for an instant "my friend... he's alive", he smiled even, and memories flod back, memories with his best friend, wich took the "one minute in Gojo's mind" the prision needed
