2024-04-01 01:19:32 +0000 UTCI like that with Luz's training Eda's method here makes practical sense beyond just the "value of hard work" message. Luz is a human. She can't cast magic the way witches do. The only way she is going to be able to learn and improve is literally to create her own magic system from the ground up, as opposed to Amity, who can learn to cast spells by practicing what others have done through guidance from her training wand. Towards this end Luz is taken by Eda to learn by studying the source that the original witches learned magic from.

But they are, just a specific family of monkeys, just like monkeys are a specific family of mammals. If you go far enough up the chain, we're technically fish, and if you go all the way up, we are eukaryotes. Or frogs and toads. All toads are frogs, but not all frogs are toads.
