For a while some folks believed that these Flying Rods were a type of creature moving so fast as to be invisible to the human eye & only barely perceptible to cameras, but it turns out they were really just normal birds & insects that were moving just fast enough to be distorted by cameras with lower frame rates.

I have been waiting peoples reaction to that reveal (And this episode and the next in general) since the anime was first announced. It´s just one of those revelations that, while shocking, makes a lot of sense when you think about it.

It wasn't great, since I was their primary caregiver, but I understood the necessity of it. I did what I could to ensure they had comfortable and happy lives, and when it came time to prepare them, I would treat them with as gently as possible to make sure they didn't suffer. Unfortunately, 5 years ago I lost my goats when my friend's boyfriend's dogs got out of their kennel and killed the goats while we were out for coffee. The sight when we got back was horrific. It broke me inside, but I wasn't mad at the dogs. Th boyfriend was furious and started beating his dogs until my friend took him inside their trailer to call him down. She asked if I could see to the dogs in the meantime. I gathered them up and put them back in their kennel and secured it tight. I began digging graves for my 5 goats. When the boyfriend was calmed down, we called a neighbor over to help with the dogs. In that area, dogs that killed livestock were considered a danger and had to be put down. I buried them all. I could never blame the dogs; they were dogs and did what dogs do especially when they're hungry. I still miss my goats.
