First Impressions mean 1 EPISODE COVERAGE for 1 SERIES at a time. Basically, it's just extra content every week with one episode being reviewed. Each episode of the First Impressions series will be analyzed as usual but also added to a queue for future coverage. Let us know what you want to see first!

2020-05-10 16:27:56 +0000 UTCThe Dragon Prince is really good. I put it off for a long time because I was turned off to the style of animation. I picked it up once S3 was released and was so into the fantasy setting and characters that I binged it all in 2 days. Really good fantasy show, looking forward to more, and was really surprised to see that Chris Metzen voiced a character.

2020-05-09 22:22:19 +0000 UTCI would suggest Goblin Slayer, but Kat would probably have to warn any younger viewers to not watch if they can’t handle mature and graphic scenes. Still, it probably wouldn’t be so bad since it only has about 12 episodes right now and watching two a week would get through them fast. That’s up to voters though. Watch a family show like Dragon Prince or a mature anime like Goblin Slayer.
2020-05-09 20:46:48 +0000 UTCPersonally, I think The Dragon Prince would a good first reaction. Admittedly, the story is a bit slow, but it brings lore to the series the same way Avatar: The Last Airbender did. Plus, a centuries long war, so many beans, and many ships.

Its a bit of a different anime than most with a very interesting premise and world and it uses some different techniques than most anime to tell an interesting story it has a really interesting villan good main character development and no easy answers about if what's happening in the world is right or wrong. I think it would be good for one of these first impressions things too because its first episode is quite strong

2020-05-09 09:30:14 +0000 UTCIf you're aiming for "All ages of Geek", the vocabulary and viewership should be an appropriate rating (i.e. TV-Y or TV-Y7) ~imo kids shouldn't watch TV until they're older anyway.
