⭐Dragon Ball Episodes 114-115: Watch Along & Analysis

One advantage that the English Dub of Classic Dragon Ball had over the Japanese Version is that the people who worked on the dub actually knew what happens in DBZ, allowing them to foreshadow certain things ahead of time with some of the Dialogues. Just a Detail worth noting.

I hope Tat joins the watch, that would be very much fun.. But only if she has catched up with you.

Yes, in DBZ Kai they changed a few of the VA's, some due to contract changes, others due to not being available, some due to the VA replacing the previous VA in the games in the more recent years, and many other reasons. The original VA's from Dragonball are only passed through to DBZ in the Funimation/Falconer release. Though most of the changes are not all seen as bad, there are definitely a few that rub people the wrong way. One thing you may have missed from last week massive "comment-blast" is that even though DBZ has been released at least 8 times in N.A. for home video it has not yet had the amazing release we all deserve. We got close to a great remastered release in 2011 (known as the level-sets) but it was cancelled after 36 episodes and never renewed. There are currently rumors of a new release in the works by Toei and funimation that is remastering it frame by frame, which is why it is taking so long, but since the DBZ community has been burned by funimation over and over again concerning it's so called remastered releases we can only be cautiously optimistic about it. If you or anyone else want to know more about the home video releases (which Funimation converts the latest ones to the streaming services) I have way more knowledge on this (I grew up with this crap-basket of a dubbing mess) and will be happy to give anyone the info they want. After all, my first DBZ vids were VHS tapes that you paid 30 bucks a pop for and only contained 3 episodes each. No other way to view it back then when it wasn't on TV. Talk about dark times. Gotta love my boy the narrator. He does my job so I don't have to haha. In terms of the content blast, do you think it will be set for the Dragonball series or the Dragonball Z series? Either way you are gonna want to do it at certain points or you will kick yourself cos of cliffhangers and I will get to congratulate my narrator bro all over again. Kat hoping that the people in the blown-up part of the city evacuated made me chuckle. Yes Kat, all the people that lived in the few square miles of the vicinity of the Kings Castle, during a celebration for the king, all knew to evacuate within the 10-15minutes it took Piccolo to go from the front gate of the castle to blowing up the land while on the Kings car. Beware of DARKNESS.....damn, almost slipped into Kingdom Hearts mode. Gotta watch that one haha. Maybe I should say, Beware of ROSHI! Darkness is not only in the maze with Goku, metaphorically speaking. Remember that at the same time that all this is happening, Piccolo is solidifying his control. What do you think he will do now that he has that control? Wait and see. Since It has been all doom and gloom for a while, you'll be glad to know that we have a fun moment coming up...but not too soon. Still gotta make you watch all the bad to get the good after all. Enjoy.

The scene with Goku and Yajirobe sliding in the ice cavern remains me of the ice slide scene from Ice Age

An important thing to remember about Gohan coming back to life is that he was only allowed to return for "one day" and had to return to the otherworld when his time was up.
