I was a bit concerned when I saw that "werewolf" was winning since I knew making a human and furry version would be extra work. Now that I think about it, though, this poll could have been way harder. I don't think I've ever drawn moth wings, a harpy would mean drawing lots and lots of feathers, and I'm not 100% sure I know what a Jiangshi is.
For the design, I didn't really have any inspiration at first. I asked about a bit for ideas and just ran with whatever I found interesting. I knew pulling from Liru (from MagiPoka) would be smart and it seems that everyone wanted a tomboy design, but figuring out the nuances really didn't happen until I started drawing her. There was a good bit of trial and error. For example: I drew a ponytail before deciding on the flyaway hairstyle and I spent a long time with grey hair as opposed to the final black.
If you like how she turned out, I'll be putting up this design as an adopt auction within the next day or so! Keep an eye out!
