2024-05-22 10:13:44 +0000 UTCI prefer the dub captions to be honest, these netflix subs are the same ones on crunchyroll which none of the geks really enjoyed plus the half of the comments on previous episodes were about how bad the subtitles were and that switching streaming platforms would be a good idea - even this batch they watched the CC (dub captions) but just uploaded with the non-CC regular translation that you prefer so at times we were reading completely different subtitles than them - HNadR pointed this out if you scroll down in the comment section

The manga already had trouble when depicting large scale battles like this and then the anime makes it even worse by drawing stuff out. I think the anime gets a lot better at pacing and handling multiple fights like this later on, so hopefully you guys don't dislike it too much during these earlier arcs

It’s one of the things I hate most, you have to wait like 5 episodes to see a whole fight because you get it in 5-10 minute chunks which are half filled with recaps or repeated scenes from the episode before

That's how you end up with abysmal takes and many of these fans keep spouting shit like 'this character is absolutely the worst' or 'the show falls off after X' or 'this fight made no sense'. The worst thing is these same "fans" keep writing comments including here to the Studio Gek guys so the reaction channels form bad expectations for the show instead of enjoying the plot as it comes. I wish people would rewatch the show not only through reaction or even better read the manga where Kishimoto has presented a relatively tight plot. The series is not without flaws but I feel like they are maximised in the perception of reaction channels because of these so called "fans".

Also the going backwards to retrace your tracks thing is so silly. They can jump super far backwards to their previous steps so why not just jump sideways and to go in a different direction or better yet, just makes a few clones to run in multiple directions and leave multiple false trails. You don't even need to make a Pakkun clone because he could literally just ride on someone too, or get even more sneaky and have someone in the real group carry Pakkun while one of the clones has a clone Pakkun running with them so that seems like the more legit trail. So many options besides leaving someone behind to die.
