Because this month I reached my $750 tier, this month's first treat is a snowflake brush made by yours truly! My favorite kind of snow is powdery, "dry" snow, the kind of big round fluffy flakes that slowly float to the ground. Wet snow is just halfway to rain and all it does is make slush. This brush has the sort of "packed" crystals you see in bigger flakes, and even uses an ice crystal texture so that every flake is unique, just like in real life!
To load it into Photoshop, go to your Brushes panel and select the gear icon, and press Load Brushes. Download my rtil-snow.abr file and load it in. It will append to your current brushes. Don't forget to save your brushes to keep it!
If you don't have Photoshop, download dry flake.png and use this transparent texture to create your own brush based off of it!
Please have fun with this brush for your winter paintings, and if you make something with it please share it with me! I'd love to see what you create with it. The brush is free to use, but please don't redistribute it as it is a gift to only my patrons. Thank you!
