(UPDATE) Training Mode v1.0 Beta 3.1 Release

UPDATE

There was a bug in Beta 3 during the techchase event where the DI would be random regardless of the setting. I apologize for that, it is now fixed and all links redirect to the new build.




Beta 3 is finished! If no bugs or issues are found with this version, it will be publicly released within a week. Once 1.0 is public, I can begin to work on new additions like overlays and events. Thanks everyone for all your feedback and helping me make this mod the best it can be! Downloads for NTSC + PAL are after the changelog.


Changelog:


Event Overhauls

 - You can control the rate at which Falco shoots lasers in the Powershield Event. The frame during which you dashed out of "LaserHit" is now displayed as well as DPad left and right changing sides.

 - SDI event -Everything fox does is now 100% realistic. He will follow your DI and decide whether to dash, short hop, full hop, and double jump in order to hit you. This event now works with Puff and other characters he was unable to hit.


Event Tweaks

- there is an additional FDD window in ledge tech training that will inform you if you were close enough to the wall/missed the tech input due to lockout or no press. https://streamable.com/ci0ie

- you can now haxdash in the ledgedash event 

- Ledgedash event - camera is slightly zoomed out, this helps on stages like yoshis and pokemon where the camera is very close to the player. also moved the HUD to the middle of the screen to avoid the text covering the character 

- Amsah tech event - dying always restores positions   

- Amsah tech event - players now start at 120%, better for practicing spotdodge after tech roll  

- Amsah tech event - marth now hits the sweetspot up B on falco and other characters this affected 

-  L-Cancel event - DPad down moves CPU and players start in the middle of the stage  

 - Reversal event - you can now choose the attack the CPU will use with R+DPad https://streamable.com/z2fel 

 - reversal + shield drop event - DPad left + right changes the distance between the players. https://streamable.com/mveyw 

 - reversal + shield drop event - R+DPad changes the direction you face https://streamable.com/bbjuz 

- eggs-ercise - now uses the KO Counter HUD element used in multiman melee to track score https://streamable.com/k3fcj 

 - waveshine SDI - added a delay on the auto-load state so you can practice sliding off and grabbing ledge 

 - eggs-ercise - DPad down turns on free practice, score doesnt save and timer counts up 


Bug Fixes

- Fixed a somewhat common bug that crashed the game while savestates were in use

- Techchase event - fixed CPU never teching when being shined directly into the ground 

- FDD toggle preferences are saved to the memory card

-fixed bug where event description text would not be centered correctly 

- pressing start in the FDD menu returns to the event page when accessed from there. this previously always returned to the CSS 

- fixed crash when pressing L to load FDD menu before event text appeared 


Misc

- event cursor starts on event 4 (first custom event)

XDelta Files (For Patching a Vanilla Melee 1.02 ISO): (Attached to post)

How to Use XDelta:

-Open XDelta.zip and extract the contents. Open XDeltaUI.exe

-Choose "Training Mode v1.0 Beta 3.xdelta" as the patch file, choose your vanilla Melee 1.02 iso as the Source File, and click the "..." and choose where to place your iso and what to name it (DONT FORGET THE .iso AT THE END OF THE FILENAME).

-Click patch and your iso will be created!

it's included already, hit L to bring up the FDD menu and toggle UCF on
