Training Mode v1.0 RC1

I think I'm finally done refining and bug fixing all the existing features. This will be the final release of version 1.0 (assuming no bugs are found). After about a week or so, if no bugs are found it will be release to the public alongside the memory card version of the mod.

*The Training Mode version indicator is slightly overlapping with the other text. This will be fixed in the final release of v1.0.

Roadmap

I'm going to begin work on new events and text overlays from here on out. Some things I know I want to cover are:

-Character Specific Events - I think I covered a lot of general tech so I'm going to move onto things that are character-specific. I don't have anything specific in mind at the moment so please let me know if you have any ideas. Until then I'm going to work on making multiple "pages" of events per character. The plan is to have left/right cycle between each character's events.

-Sweetspot Ledge Event

-Act Out of Throw Text Overlay  - frames wasted after Throwing

-Act Out of L-Cancel Text Overlay - frames wasted after L-Cancelling

-Fastfall Timing Text Overlay - how many frames late your fastfall was

Comments

can you explain what you mean by difference between smash and tilts? about the patching process, you need to drag your melee iso onto the .bat file and it will create the training mode iso

UnclePunch

Could we have some really basic things too like something to differentiate between smash and tilt attacks (and tap jumping), something for short hops, something to wavedash/waveland a certain length, etc? If you're going to start doing character specific things could you add to your list a timing trainer for the super wavedash? Also when patching my iso, xdelta never could find the iso files and I had to use the default locations in the patch file (which I had to recreate on my system, those E:\ROMs\... paths) for it to patch at all - it works but it could be a little easier. All that said this is an absolutely amazing tool and after having been away from melee for a long time, I'm hoping this will make it easier to get back into it. Thanks!
