Pinkie Pie is trying to sell baked goods to make extra money so she can pay her rent, but she doesn't something surely Twilight would be proud of... using demographics!
Pinkie's kindness still shines through while giving her friendly (naturally) a cupcake. Twilight thankfully does the friendship stuff and is willing to listen to her friend.
One of the names we were going to originally have on her cart was "Sweet Cakes by P.P." But no one is going to buy a full cake from a cart.
Another thing we did was have Pinkie set up her cart in a neighborhood away from downtown Ponyville and Sugar Cube Corner. She isn't going to sell product close to her employer and take away business. She really does care.
