It made it sound like they could be better people if only they were giving the opportunity to do so. They were making progress on their own but unfortunately they were not able to escape their past and fell back into old behaviors which happens. It's more realistic that they actually had a set back. But I wonder if they could have found a way back on their own? Idk, if anything it gives the impression that these people need one another in order to be better because they can't handle it alone. But you're right. The main thing that they want to prove is whether or not they can repeat the same pattern of getting better without the knowledge of the after life. It will be interesting to see if the influence they had on one another was genuine or if it was opportunistic. Still Michael interfering was more than just a little push. It would have been interesting to see if they would have found one another without any external influence lol, Like it was predestined for them to meet or something. I cant wait to see what happens next!

It isn’t really about who they are with because since the system already said they were bad that shouldn’t change no matter what factors you put in if the system is flawless. As long as they are on earth and getting better. Though micheal is pushing it.
