An absolute fantastic episode. Control truly feels like a huge threat, the Machine is both caring and terrifying and Shaw and Root are both incredible in this episode. My only issue with this episode is the ending. First, I truly have an issue with shows/movies always having their bad guys kill the people who work for them. Like, at some point, people should stop working for them? Especially since this lady was apparently a professional, you'd think she'd have prepared for this..... Also, John blaming the Machine for Carter's death? Like, the machine has nothing to do with it? Heck, Root offered SEVERAL times to help and repeatedly warned that there would be losses, but Finch rejected help from the Machine. So how exactly is the Machine to blame? This is a "The Machine"-defense account now.....

Shows and movies have done it with a physical robot type of machine, but I've never enjoyed or been concerned about something that we can't see and doesn't have form before this show. It just gets better from here.
