As usual, the Horror creatures done for my premium stuff will be posted publicly as I have done every year! Though for a few of them there will be special versions for the monthly subscribers! This one was for thecosmicseedrian "...possession stuffing (eating while possessed)" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a Futakuchi Onna, also known as a second mouth woman, A Snakeback woman, or a Hairmaw., and is a kind of Medusa, or snake possessed spirit... Futakuchi Onna are women whom were possessed by cursed spirits. This curse is afflicted only to women, and it causes a large, hideous mouth to slowly form on the back of her head. This mouth begins small, but can greatly distend itself to be massive, and the longer the woman is possessed, the stronger, and larger the mouth becomes. The mouth can extend out, sticking forward much like a horse can reach their teeth and jaws forward, and they also have a large, secondary mouth inset within the first, sat upon their tongue. They can reach the possessed one's hair like tentacles, and use them to reach out and grab things, as well as pull the woman along with them like legs. They possess strength like that of an octopus, and a supernatural elasticity that allows them to reach much further than expected. Their bite can sometimes be venomous, with the venom causing a very strange reaction that causes the wound to begin to grow extremely itchy, grasping, black hair that entangles and in-grows to be extremely uncomfortable, and if left untreated (Often times by a priest) the hair will grow and begin to strangle the person until they are completely encased in the hair like spider silk. These bodies if left alone will eventually rupture and from within, curiously, tends to hatch small swarms of venomous, eyeless snakes covered in hair that grow to be anywhere from 1 to 8 feet in length. The spirit is thought to stem potentially from the Serpentfolk matriarch, the serpent of eden, and some believe the spirits to be those of serpentfolk possessing women, or being cursed into women by witches. To fall victim to such a curse, a woman often times must have gluttony overcome her heart and accept the spirit within herself. They can also be cursed by spellcasters or for their actions, such as if a noblewoman refuses to share her food with starving people, or refuses to eat because she is hoarding money. In some cases it can also possess less wealthy women unfortunately. Often times this comes from an intense desire to eat, and just like with some other curses or evil spirits, the desire for hunger, along with their hatred for those who can eat, can lead to them letting their guard down and being possessed by these strange creatures. During Futakuchi Onna possessions, it often begins slowly, with the possessed woman feeling tired or sick, and often times not having much of an appetite. She may occasionally hear a voice whispering to her or talk to herself, or may ask if someone just said something to her despite it being completely silent. She will then often times find blood on her pillow and find that she has a small wound on the back of her head. Over the next few days, food will begin to come up missing, and though the woman has no appetite, her stomach may begin to bulge and appear stuffed. She may get sick during this period and react as if she had overeaten, and the whispers get much worse. During this time, at night, the woman will sleep walk to the pantry or food stores and open them before sitting with her back to the food while the spirit stuffs things into her. The creature will often times prioritize meat, especially raw meat, though other proteins, alcohol, and sweets are also a target when meat is unavailable. As the possession gets worse, the creature will eat more and more, which takes a toll on the woman's body and she may gain extreme amounts of weight from it, or may suffer from a ruptured stomach if the creature goes too fast. The mouth grows larger with every passing night, and the larger it grows, the more it consumes, and the stronger control over the hair it gets, with the hair tangling itself into thick and durable tangles like tentacles that become hard to get through in the waking hours, especially when caked with various foodstuffs. If food becomes scarce, the Futakuchi Onna will turn to small animals, children, or even people, before moving along to nearby homes for more. In old times, wealthy women who were afflicted with the curse would often times be brought many foodstuffs and treats to keep the creature satisfied, though it also made it more powerful and often times led to the death of the woman if an exorcist did not arrive to cure the woman's condition. On occasion noblewomen would have poor people brought as sacrifices if the creature became too powerful. Less wealthy women who were afflicted would often eat through all of their food quickly and turn to killing their families before the issue would even truly show itself or before an exorcist could be called. Women who are possessed by this terrible cursed spirit for a long time will begin to have her own mind and that of the creature become one. Her teeth will sharpen and her eyes grow wild as she stops trying to fight it and will begin luring people in through whatever means necessary. As they harbor the spirit, they will have the jaws grow larger, and larger, moving from just the back of her head to extending down her back and shoulders, and may eventually lead to the woman nearly splitting down to her waist with a massive mouth, and some of them can extend the mouths off of their body to strike like a snake. These cursed women do have a significant increase in metabolism, and a possessed may not gain a lot of weight from the constant binging, however a woman with a low metabolism and a hearty appetite may find herself getting much fatter with the creature's nightly raids, which makes her more difficult to move, but as the creature grows stronger, it's hair also grows more powerful, with the largest ones ever recorded in legend appearing to be as large as a house, with hair tendrils that could reach potentially for miles. As they get larger, they will often sit with the mouth facing upward, and lay out their hair to reach it around them as they sit still, tangling the hair around the room, into hallways, and outside like a spider web. If creatures touch the hairs, they will snatch the creature up and drag them to the mouth to feed. Exorcists when facing off against such creatures, will often find them difficult to deal with if they've become too powerful, and if the mouth becomes too large the woman cannot be saved as the gash will remain upon her head once the creature has been cast out, and her body will return to normal so the supernatural elasticity of her stomach will fade and if she's already been overstuffed she may burst. Women who do have the creature banished however may maintain an increased appetite, and may even still possess control over her hair to an extent. To banish the creature, often times the woman must have her head shaved, and the creature must be starved while being bombarded by spells and prayer. There are several monk sects that actually allow themselves to be possessed by Futakuchi Onna on Urth, with one group following the Path of Redemption, in which they undergo rituals to invite an evil spirit into themselves and then forcefully, through prayer, meditation, and fasting, make the spirit follow their will. These monks shave their heads bald so the creature cannot help itself, and they feed it only when needed as they cultivate a sort of superiority over it and harness it's power for themselves. Many monks who undergo these processes do not survive, but those that do can form a strange and symbiotic relationship with a body possessing spirit and use it's power to banish other evil spirits. The other sect exists on Earth and Urth, however they moreso invite the spirits in the name of the father of Serpents, Yig. They will often undergo rituals and curses to infest their bodies with various snake spirits, with Futakuchi Onna being one of the curses that they spread or willingly accept on to themselves... Victoria here is about to get munched on. But that tum is already looking tight, so even if Victoria gets swallowed whole by this monster, I think our unfortunate little chub will find her way back out with a bang.... Victoria would be a prime candidate to be a priestess for the serpents though. Greedy and gluttonous XD.
