"The soup kitchen potluck is going to be really excited for this seven alarm chili! Thanks for agreeing to drive me over, Megan!"

Celes the slime girl sat comfortably in the passenger's seat of Megan's compact car. It was understated, and honestly pretty plain, but it was well-taken care of, polished to a mirror sheen with no scrapes or bumps to make out. Celes straddled a large pot on her lap with gloved hands, the smell of savory beef filling the car.

"No problem!" Megan beamed. "It's the least I can do; you did most of the cooking after all."

"Well, you sourced those really spicy peppers from... uh, where was it?"

"Oh, it's a small family-operated farm neighbouring the River Styx!" Megan explained jubilantly.

"Aw, that's nice! Gotta support local!~" Celes chuckled... then a realization dawned on her. "Um, Styx? Is that the same as-"

"No, it's in Hell." Megan nodded affirmatively. "Succubus work gets you some perks, you make new friends, it's a whole thing."

"...ohhh... I-I see. That's, um, nice! It is." Celes tried to make the recover with a reassuring nod that, perhaps, may have been overcompensating, as indicated by the jiggle her body gave off. Megan, for her part, seemed typically her, her fair skin not taken to a vibrant magenta hue today on her day off. No, she seemed as human-esque as ever.

"They got a BNB too if you ever wanna visit!" Megan added with a smile. "But I'm getting ahead of myself, we should get going while the chili's hot..."

She turned the keys in the ignition. The car shook slightly as the engine choked, sputtered, and stalled. Megan paused, gawked, and repeated the motion several more times.

"Mrgh... c'mooon..." Megan grunted as she tried to will the car into motion, but alas, there was nothing for it.

"Oh dear, that doesn't sound good..." Celes frowned. "Is the car battery dead?"

"Think so..." Megan sighed. "I dunno, I usually save changing it for wintertime, but we're in the middle of summer! Of all the days for it to act up..."

"Hmmmm..." Celes tilted her head. "I used to help pa with all kindsa farm vehicles, I might know a thing or two. Lemme go take a look..."

"O-oh you don't have to do that, I could call a mechanic and- oop okay..."

Megan ended up with a pot of chili on her lap as Celes handed it off to her and exited through the side door. Megan, with a sigh of resignation, popped open the front so Celes could look at the engine.

"Mmmmm I don't see anything wrong at a glance..." Celes got up on her tippytoes to peer inside. "Which means it's probably a dead car battery."

"I got some cables in the trunk!" Megan lowered her window to poke her head out. "We could just get a jump-start from a neighbour!"

"Mmmmm..." Celes eyed the Kamika household neighboring Megan's own. She held her tongue about the likelihood of Kamika having a car, or even being licensed to drive.

"Mm..." Celes tapped her chin. "I got a better idea, actually..."

Celes closed the front of Megan's car, before turning her back to the car. Megan poked her head out to the window.

"Oh? Do you know someone who can take a look?" Megan tilted her head. "That'd be really good for- oh my goodness!"

Megan gasped in surprise as Celes leaned back against the hood of Megan's car, spreading her arms across the hot metal. The slime girl closed her eyes as her cool, liquid skin heated up against the sun-heated exterior. She stifled a moan as her body slip upwards, melting and spreading across the car!

Megan could barely poke her head in and roll up her windows before her view of the outside world was obscured by layers of purple, inky slime that advanced along the top of her car in waves. Megan shifted, cradling the pot of chili in her lap. What was Celes doing...

Celes' body melted into a formless mass, spreading across the top of Megan's car. It was impossible to see the windows, through the layers of purple ooze, making the experience somewhat unsettling for Megan. It wasn't until Celes spoke up again that Megan snapped out of her anxious trance.

"Okay! I think I'm settled in! Oh, lemme just put these away..."

The passenger window rolled down just enough for a white, neatly-folded sundress and a pair of boots to be tucked in via purple goopy tendril. Megan stared.

"W-why are you eating my car, Celes?" Megan frowned. "I just finished paying it off..."

"I'm not eating it!" Celes objected. "Just taking it for a test drive!"

From the outside, Celes' body had amorphously clung to the upper half of Megan's car like a tarp, a wide pair of giant, blue eyes taking up where the windshield was. Celes' trademark sunhat remained nestled fashionably on top of the car under a mess of goopy purple hair as the rest of her body obscured the head and tailights, windows, and even the side mirrors now resembled nubby little purple arms.

Vrrrrm! The car roared affirmatively to life! Megan yelped as the stick and wheel moved on its own, independent of her control.

"C-Celes, I can't see anything!" Megan sputtered. "Is that you disengaging the brakes??"

"Yep! I'll do the driving today!~" Celes responded, though it wasn't clear where her mouth was right now. The car shook as it rolled off the driveway and onto the street with careful precision.

"W-wow, we're really moving..." Megan gawked. "How are you controlling my car like this?"

"It's all mechanical, I've done this sort of thing a couple times." Celes cheered. "It's really fun! Such a delight to have the wind in your hair..."

"Can't you get a convertible for that sort of thing instead...?" Megan wondered with a bashful smirk.

"Too expensive." Celes attempted to shrug...

Beep! But she ended up honking the horn instead. Megan yelped, clutching the chili closer.

"Sorry! Different model from what I'm used to..." Celes admitted.

"J-just be careful on the road, okay?" Megan slumped back. "I turned on the lights in here, but it's still pretty dark..."

"Sure thing! I'm a driving pro!" The car puttered along, accelerating and steering along the gentle suburban roads. One of Celes' hair tendrils tipped her sunhat towards a pair of kids playing street hockey; they momentarily gawked at the strange slime woman-car hybrid, before remembering themselves and cleared the street.

"I wonder how much a taxi plate would cost..." Celes wondered to herself. "...probably too much, nah."

Megan wasn't entirely sure how Celes could commandeer her car like this, but... it was working! She really was full of surprises...
