Option A (Sage): A (insert your own powerset/monster person abilities here) person celebrates that their partner now has their own (pick the same/similar/completely different) fun powerset of their own! Dealer's choice because I'm indecisive :D

Option B (AltrixWrites): Megan Skye gets home after a long day at work, tired and feeling underappreciated. When she returns, she flicks on the lights, and discovers Iris and her other friends in Crossroads had set up a surprise birthday party for her! Megan, shocked and overwhelmed by the surprise, nonetheless is touched by all the love everyone gives her, and the rest of the night is spent enjoying the party.

Option C (whiteglint): New year parties are always fun, getting people into the mood and inhibitions lowered with the alcohol present. A hapless single party goer wakes up with a massive headache and no memory of the previous night in an unfamiliar room after one such party to find himself in an unfamiliar bed being held like a bolster by a very tall girl from behind. Blushing , it takes him a awhile to notice something off about the girl, like why was her hand attacked to a rubber-hose tube wrapping around his body?

Option D (notcones): A short series of "progress reports" (basically a diary but science-y) over the course of a year about a robot girl upgrading herself, going from clunky plate metal to liquid nanobots that can take on any shape.
