[PATRON REWARD] Weekly Update - July 1st, 2019

Happy Canada Day!

Sorry For the delayed update. I was busy working on episode 17. I wasn't playing Mario Maker the entire day, I swear.

Anyway, the new Patreon bonus video just came out a few days ago. I talked about the violence in Logan, one of my favourite superhero films.

Well, then, here's what's going on:

• Editing for The Wandering Earth episode just got started. It's in a bit of a time crunch, but I'm having some trouble writing a satisfying ending for it. This is an ongoing problem with me stuck in writer's block.
• Additionally, some of the assumptions I made in the episode were proven false. I held a poll on YouTube Community, and somehow, Chinese speaking audience sees the film in less favourable light. That is not at all what I expected. And the script has to be changed accordingly.
• Still, I expect the episode to be finished and uploaded by Thursday.

• The channel will continue to focus on Chinese films for one more episode after The Wandering Earth. Afterward, I'll talk about a film from a different region,
• I don't know what films I'll be talking about, yet. If you have any suggestions, feel free to share.
• Because of this, the Bruce Lee episode and John Woo episode will have to wait a bit more.

• For the month of August, I'll be on a long trip. So episode's will be simpler and focuses more on analyzing one film instead of talking about a general topic. That way I can pre-record all the episodes and upload them for you.
• Some Patreon stuff may be affected because of this trip. I'll remain in touch through Twitter and Facebook if you are looking for me.
