Halloween is coming. Will you be dressing up for the occasion?

I know a lot of our viewers are from areas that don't celebrate Halloween, but it's so much fun to dress up. Trust me, watching The Matrix while wearing leather trench coats gives you a completely different experience. Give it a try!

Have you watched the Kdrama 'Mr. Sunshine' on Netflix? It's a long one (24 episodes), but the Japanese occupation plays a pretty integral role into the character motivations. Also, where did you find 'The King and the Clown?' I saw it at a film festival a loooong time ago, and some friends were looking for it after watching 'The Crowned Clown,' but it's pretty hard to find streaming.

I'd love to see any videos on Korean historical films. Two that are based on the Japanese occupation are Age of Shadows and The Handmaiden, and to me they're both 10/10. I just loved them. Also my obsession this year has been Joseon dynasty films, like The Fortress, Fengshui, The King's Letters, The King and the Clown, Kundo and many more. There's loads of these, it seems most famous SK actors will make at least one in their career, and they're generally beautifully produced and shot with gorgeous costumes and sets. I have an unceasing appetite for them.

Or perhaps something looking at how Korean films link to their contexts. I watched and loved Peppermint Candy, A Taxi Driver and 1987: When the Day Comes, but had to look up the real-life history later to fully understand them. An understanding of the relevant political/historical events really helps an understanding of these - I love videos that link films to their contexts. Just a thought - keep up the great work.

Would love to see a video on Bong Joon-ho's Mother - it hasn't been analysed as much as Parasite or Memories of Murder, but is just as good IMHO!

A Korean film that would be an excellent subject is “A Tale of Two Sisters”, there is so much symbolism and subtext to be examined, it is a haunting experience! Also mentioning how much meaning is lost in the American remake “The Uninvited”.
