After delaying it for months, we are finally talking about it, one of the most important film in South Korean cinema: Silenced (2011).
Writing about this film is difficult, partially because i's just a difficult film to watch. But also the film's message is strong and clear, so my analysis is limited. Everything I said feels like the film just said it openly.
And it is just difficult to talk about the subject matter at hand. No matter how many times I revisit this film, it still managed to destroy my spirit. Hopefully I did an adequate job at being respectful, and presented the subject matter honestly.
