"Reinforcements!" Process

0. Start with sketch drawn in Procreate. (Timelapse in next post)
1. Shrink down sketch to "pixel art" size. I chose 256x305 px for this one.
2. Draw outlines.
3. Fill in the base colors.
4. Add some shading and details.
5. Add the long flowing hair :)
6. Add the background. I haven't really ever spent much time on the BG, and a lot of times it's an afterthought (and yeah I really should get better at this). However I've noticed even a simple BG can add a lot of context and interest to a piece. So I kinda just added some simple shapes that represent the setting and blurred the heck out of it to make it look like a cool photograph with shallow depth of field :P
6.5. Post an unfinished version on Twitter :/ (I'm too impatient to sleep before posting so I can see all the stuff I want to add or fix the next morning, which I will invariably do before posting the pixiv and newgrounds versions) (good thing twitter is not so great as a gallery site lol)
7. Add rocket launch and other cool effects and finish up
Pretty similar process to the last one! I kind of like Penny's pose in part 5, and I want to draw in the rest of the legs and make the pose a sticker. Sometime in the near future probably.
