She recently shared the story with us and we were eager to talk about this painfully honest meditation on grief in the modern world. It's a story about the physical objects that carry on after us and tell our histories. And it's a story of the tumultuous year of 2020, when we were having to fight against systemic inequality and racial injustice in the midst of a global health and economic crisis. It's handled in a way that feels deeply personal and specific, and yet universal at the same time.
