Monthly Message for June 2017

Hello my 50-cent army (contributing $2+ per episode)! Welcome to the first ever monthly sneak peek.

It’s been an exciting month for the show. The incredible outpouring of support from fans has saved the show after the devastation of the YouTube Adpocalypse. And yes, my word processor freaks out every time I try to type that. Thanks to your continued support, Matt, Shelley, Seamus, and I are not only going to be able to keep the show going, but make it bigger and better. 

The new website, ChinaUncensored.tv is in full swing. We’ve been experimenting with making new short format videos for Facebook full of fun and interesting tidbits coming out of China. They’ve been getting tens of thousands of views! It’s also driving traffic to our website where, in addition to our regular videos, there’s also a new “Articles” section. This is only the first step in a larger plan to uncensor way more stuff. That…doesn’t sound quite right, but I’m sure you know what I mean.

And here’s a big sneak peek for all you patrons. You’ll find out in tomorrow’s episode that Miss World Canada Anastasia Lin and I will be emcees at the Blacklisted Music and Arts festival on July 29, 2017 in Los Angeles. The concert is dedicated to raising awareness about censorship and human rights abuses with a focus on China. I don’t want to tell you the whole story behind it so you still have something to look forward to in tomorrow’s episode, but suffice it to say, it’s an interesting story.
