Throwback Thursday 2016!

Happy throwback Thursday! I was watching my boyfriend go through all their old art from like 7 years ago and decided I wanted to do the same. Looking back fondly on this era, I think this was where my art was starting to really take off online. It's also a time to reflect on a couple of projects I never got around to completing. One of which was about two friends, one's a sheep and one is a wolf, they were best friends and the sheep would don wolf-clothing (see what I did there?) to go hang with his friend. It sadly never really took off, I think I was busy with other things at the time.

The second one was Dragon Boyfriend.

This project had two goals. To break traditional ideas of relationships while also teaching folks about Cornish/celtic mythology, in a fun and entertaining way. As much as I loved the idea, and having literally BOOKS full of concept art and designs, and even a storyboard from the first issue, it never really took off. Shortly after I started making Jago & Shervin comics, which became a small success.
I would love to continue this project, but two comic about breaking traditional ideas of relationships in a silly way, that both involve dragons as a boyfriend...I don't know if the world is ready for that much dragon love. We will see!
