This sequence would've ran when Dorothy entered Walky/Booster's room, and I got two strips in before realizing I was gonna miss some things I wanted to get to and I was also getting to things I wanted to get to in the wrong way.
Walky starts out pretty snarky, and as he notes, he's lashing out a bit. Just getting mad and then noting why he's mad! Creating conflict and immediately closing it out. Thanks, Walky! That was a fun 3 panels where you're just out-right telling us what you're thinking! And besides, when Walky last had Dorothy thoughts, it was about reacting to her drunken Instagram with Joyce. I felt leading with acknowledging that instead was a better transition, as it keeps things together instead of just throwing out emotional acknowledgements of things.
But first I penciled this one out, too. Again, Walky's just kind of being more direct than is amusing to me, I think, with his "what about YOUR autism" that feels a bit too strong. And then he lists all the cast members he thinks are also autistic, because we're just friggin' throwing out any subtlety here, we're just naming shit out-right. This strip is being written as if my primary mission is to provide information for a Walkypedia article. Nope nope nope nope nope nope let's start over.

So I started over, threw that Instagram acknowledgement in there, and then IMMEDIATELY GOT THEM OUT OF DODGE, because I actually wanted this scene to be on top of the Meaningful Snowhill rather than drawn out and spinning its wheels directly in front of Booster. And I was happy that I was able to do it in a way that made me laugh.
And then I was able to hit a lot of the same moments I wanted, but without, like, you know, directly just friggin' stating them. Tried to do it with a little more art, rather than going down the checklist of things I wanted said and having them said.
i do still, however, think it'd be funny if amber were autistic but amazi-girl isn't, i do regret not having that little bit in there
but i can probably find a way to circle back to that at some point, who knows
