Old vid but on the topic where you guys said that you could just bake any cake. That wouldn't work. Big Mom's pirating for as long as whitebeard. She definitely tried a lot of cakes in her lifetime. That's why they said that a never before tried taste of cake can't be done in a short time because Big Mom won't easily be tricked by serving her a random cake.

I would even say she is on the level of an olympic level runner considering how much Nami runs in every arc. Sanji, Luffy are essentially superhuman. Jimbei is already stronger than your average fishman, and just being a fishman makes you 20 times stronger than the average person. We saw how fast Jimbei was able to run during Marineford. Carrot and Pedro are almost hybrid animals who were raised in the new world (Zou) who happened to be very fast. I'm surprised Nami was even keeping up with all that running.

How weakened a fruit user becomes depends on two things: how much of their body is submerged in liquid and also how strong that person is. Think back to when Jack was at the bottom of the ocean. He was still fully conscious, he just couldn't move. Falling water doesn't affect fruit user, which is why Luffy could fight in the rain earlier this arc.

As someone whos been watching one piece for a long time, sometimes when going back and re-watching old arcs the emotions can hit different just cause the new perspective you have on the characters and everything. Same idea as having flashbacks at the right moments. I'm sure years from now you'll do a re-watch at your own pace without having to react and some things will hit different. Oda really had to make everybody have super freaking sad back stories. I've watched for so long there is like a layer of nostalgia to this show for me too been watching since 13 now I'm 27. Since I caught up again when ch 1000 came out I started watching some reactors and found you guys. Its been fun to watch the journey.
