2021-12-09 15:41:47 +0000 UTCLee, I'm not sure if this would be counted as a spoiler—more just clarification of what the show is trying to tell—but if you want to avoid anything that might be even a minor spoiler, please don't read past this point. So, I think you guys might be getting a bit lost in this idea that there's a sort of will involved in these changes that the show hasn't implied exists at all. When they send a dmail, it creates a new worldline where everything is identical up to the point where the dmail is received. After that, all changes that happen are a direct result of that dmail's effect. This same thing happens every time a new dmail is sent. A new worldline is created, identical to the worldline that created it up until the new dmail's arrival. This includes previous dmails too. They still exist, having always been sent even if the initial event that caused them to be sent in the first place doesn't happen anymore. So why is weird unintended stuff happening with each dmail, sometimes even seemingly undoing previous dmails? Well, that comes down to the butterfly effect. With a dmail, there's no telling exactly what the people receiving them will do and how these changes will affect everyone they meet. Even the tiniest, most innocuous-seeming change could make a huge difference. Or it could do nothing. It's hard to predict what a dmail will do, especially in conjunction with each other, which is what makes dmails so dangerous.

2021-09-22 17:12:00 +0000 UTCexcept that D-mail didn't change ruka into a girl. You have to pay attention to the 1 and 0 world line Ruka only became a girl under 0.5 where the opposite world/Zero world line starts i cant really go into depth without massive spoilers but this is not explained in the anime that well you have to find this yourself

2021-09-22 05:44:10 +0000 UTCRuka changing sex was explained episodes ago. Basically she (when she was a he) sent a D-mail back to her mother to eat more vegetables due to a popular rumor at the time. That rumor stated that boys are born when their mothers eat more meat, and girls vice-versa.
