It was the symbol of the party of adventurers, all of them had that black dagger as symbol of the team. So it was another hint that actually Ains was revenging for their deaths while spreading his name.

Nazerik i s the guild of only inhumans, they are like the big bad guys. thats the lore they made in-game, but now its reality and everyone of the NPCs are deep in evil shit because thats how they were programed. I think this is shit you have to look up. Overlord is a deep story with shit tons of information.

The only thing keeping him up is his absurd stats. Even when she stabbed him in the eyes, that wasn't him letting her hit him, she genuinely bested him in physical combat.
