How I interpreted the Beom Suk scenes is that itโs obviously not the real Beom Suk, but rather Si Eunโs mind cosplaying as him, shaped by how Si Eun understands Beom Sukโs character and personality. Essentially what i'm trying to say is that this is Si Eun's guilty mindscape; being in the last place Su Ho was alive and awake, where Beom Suk became the worst version of himself. Beom Suk here is a manifestation of Si Eunโs guilt, literally holding him back (I guess the ring could also work as a mental battle space against the Beum Suk guilt manifestation). So it's not Beom Suk asking Si Eun if his new friends are more important than him but rather Si Eun, feeling guilty about moving on and making new friends, asking himself who's more important. Beom Suk saying he's not looking for an apology, i think is a way to show that deep down Si Eun know's he's not at fault or at least the idea of it is there and is being considered. It's kinda like the voices of his friends and dad and his own rational but his guilt overpowers it.
