Its seems the ambient mana deep in the hive is enough to sustain Blues and the occassional Violet with only occasionally feeding. A White would have to consume much more and a greater amount of that has to come from eating.

Plus the probably near Billion lower grade creatures? Also the Hive can afford to feed a Million Blue Grade wasps, but a single white grade would starve the entire Hive? How???

But also she still has huge remnants of incredibly powerful mind magic in her soul/body like the Ark. Also you’d think the souls previous divinity would affect something. Edit: We also know that her past as a god already had a tangible affect on her because she got that skill that enabled her to learn much quicker. Also if mana sources can have an effect on an entire planet I feel like a mind titan like Phoebe could maybe influence things in a certain direction if she wanted to help.

2025-12-06 13:32:38 +0000 UTCPure affinity is pretty kick-ass for Baldy actually - the principle weakness of his clones is they can’t use mana. With a bit of rune-crafting, he can equip his clones with effective weapons & armour, making them even more deadly. It’ll only take 18 months for his 2nd core to reach green, crystallised mana elevates the construct to blue-grade, then runes can take to be on par with violet.

Separately, I dont understand why Nephthys has to evolve to yellow before she gets a second core. He got his at orange. Wouldn’t it help her to get it before she evolves, so they’re at the same level and advancing together? And he’s possessed any number of orange hosts that have survived fine.

We've already seen examples of Environmental and Decree based influences, Sources and Bloodlines respectively. I think the next step is trying to figure out if theirs any impact from spiritual or psychological influences.

Like is the end result supposed to somehow produce denser (triple) mana and provide finer mana control (also triple) for them?
