Status Update

So, after a week, I managed to swing by my home to check on things as I'm staying with my mother these days and helping her out with anything as, after the spine surgery she had last week, she is still very much in need of help.

Doctors claim that the surgery was a success, yet my mother says that at the moment, she feels worse than before the procedure. Hopefully it is just a temporary state and given more time to heal things get better.

There may be a catch in that as due to the COVID-19 and the numbers of diagnosed cases breaking another all time high with over 11000 new cases diagnosed during just yesterday, most of the hospitals in the country are shutting down or greatly limiting non-essential care which means that access to services like rehabilitation will be very difficult if not impossible for an unknown period of time.

The country is now in a state of, kind of a soft lockdown. However, that may change to a hard one with possible curfew if situation gets really out of hand.

I'm not a doctor or epidemiologist, however, just by seeing the daily detection numbers as they grow pretty much exponentially, I would say that the situation got out of hand a while ago already...
