New Character Design (Shaundi Penibscot)

A few months back I had flirted with this idea, as I often do, of making a Moose girl character. It had sprung from the thought of 'What would have happened if Cameron had gone with Derrick to Moosatoba"? If you guys remember from chapter five of the fic, Cameron had vehemently refused to go partake in all the 'free loving' Derrick had promised him. I often have thoughts like this, as it's rather fun to explore an idea even if i never intend to use it. However, what pushed me over the edge to draw her was seeing an actual moose cow in my neighborhood. I suppose one could jokingly call it a sign.

In my head, for this 'series of events' to take place, I think Derrick would have had to downplay the possible sex angle, instead promise Cameron it would be a nice way to clear his head and meet new mammals. Maybe even make some friends. However, once at the Moosatoba reservation, Cameron would be extremely wary of everything, and so Derrick, thinking he was helping, spikes Cameron's drink in order to get him to loosen up. From there the night becomes a blur for the older todd, swirling memories of moose dancing around a fire and singing songs, and something about smoking a cerimonial pipe and before the tod knows it, he wakes up nude, with a throbbing headache, next to a massive and just as naked moose girl. Needless to say Cameron has sort of a breakdown and ends up fleeing, taking a Zoober to the nearest airport and flying back to Zootopia in agonizing shame over his betrayal of Marian.

One would think that would have been the end of it, but through Derrick, Shaudi tracks Cameron down (As it turns out she lives in Zootopia, so it's not a long trip), and drops in to talk to him. Cameron is horrified to see her, profusely apologizing for leading her on, and telling her that the night was a mistake. However, Shaundi explains that they never had sex, merely slept together after the ceremonial 'nude dancing under the moonlight.' She had seen the sorry and sad state the cute  little tod was in, and felt compelled to look after him for the night. The whimpering tod had spent most of the night weeping into her breast, with Shaundi gently caressing his hair until they both fell asleep. When asked why she had done that, she replied that he seemed like he needed a friend, and what's more Shaundi still feels compelled to help and befriend him. Although admittedly a part of that comes from her liking "cute, small, fox boys.", and Cameron happens to be just her type. Still she's also a mammal who lives by the creed of helping those in need. Cameron does resist, doing his best to keep the persistent moose at arms length during the course of their burgeoning friendship, but ultimately succumbs to accepting Shaundi as part of his friend circle. And she does indeed help him work through his trauma over time. Wether they would eventually get together in this AU? Who can say....although I really do have a hard time seeing him with anyone else but Clover.

The full NSFW cut of this pic is linked below, which in itself is I suppose is an AU of that AU where Cameron and her actually did get intimate. Of course, that would make Cameron that much more resistant to her help down the road if that was the case, i could still see Shaundi winning him over.
