Minotaur Update: Colour Variations 🐮

The idea was to have the colour scheme somewhat compliment his name, along with his personality, however, as mentioned in the last post, I wasn't totally dead set on the name Galenos. So here are the one's that I've narrowed it down to and their meanings:
Artorius - Bear
Alphonsus - Noble, Ready for battle
Marcellinus - Defense
Galenos - Calm Seas
Valentinus - Strong; Of stout health
Pyrrhus - Flame-like
Victor - Conqueror
Thaddaeus - Courageous, Big hearted
I think most of these could represent aspects of his personality, an some could fit with some colour schemes better than others. So, I think it mostly just comes down to preference at this point.
Still got some thinking to do 😂

At first glance, B and I literally jumped out of the group for me with their bold, warm browns and the contrast with the darker, colder bits. Those evoke his savage, bovine side most, and suggest strength and virility: together with F (a bit on the neutral tone: maybe a bit of blue might help?) they speak of a hot-blooded, warm-hearted warrior, and so Artorius and Victor seem most fitting (Pyrrhus has an, err, negative connotation :D). Conversely, C and D make him more human-like, so Galenos and Alphonsus look appropriate. G, E and J give me mixed feelings, a disposition both calm and strong, so Valentinus and Thaddaeus seem quite right. My personal choice would surely be I: Artorius!

2024-12-28 23:48:51 +0000 UTCI’d have to say I like the B color because in my head there resides a Minotaur who is brown shades all over, and I like that, but the white blaze makes Galenos both alike and distinct from that. And I like Galenos as a name, because I’d like to think that he’s got a very calm inside. Minotaurs have this interesting tension between a bovine calmness and gentleness and all the masculine strength of being a bull. Mercenary when on the job, chilling out in the lake when he’s not working.
