The Weapon Master Shall Never Die Bare-Handed in Genshin Impact [216]

Ten minutes had passed, and the towering Ruyi Jingu Bang had quietly disappeared. Osial, now free from its restraints, stirred.

Before it, thousands of Millelith soldiers stood in formation, the Jade Chamber carrying them closer to the Vortex God.

“ROAR!!!”

Osial was furious.

Not because it faced the Adepti. Not because it faced another god.

But because it was mere mortals who now brandished their weapons against it.

And to add insult to injury, it had been held in place earlier by a mysterious weapon for so long.

“ROAR!!!”

Gathering its divine power, Osial unleashed a vortex of godly energy, a surge of blue waves roaring toward the Jade Chamber.

The tidal blast surged forward with the force to obliterate anything in its path, yet was suddenly cleaved apart as if by an invisible blade. The raging waters, divided cleanly down the middle, collapsed into harmless streams that fell back into the ocean.

At the forefront of the Jade Chamber stood Jia Changjiang, wielding a stone spear. He was like an extension of the Jade Chamber itself—a piercing blade cutting through the god’s assault.

“Come, god!”

He slammed the spear into the floor with a resounding crack.

“Round three begins now!”

“Today, you face all of Liyue!”

He raised his spear high, his voice carrying across the battlefield.

“Come at us!”

In unison, the Millelith echoed his cry:

“COME! COME! COME!”

Their shouts rose like waves, clashing with Osial’s deafening roars.

Osial’s five massive serpentine heads opened wide, launching torrents of concentrated water bullets toward the Jade Chamber. Some crashed into its surface, causing the entire structure to shudder.

Other attacks were intercepted by the Adepti or deflected by the Millelith, whose enormous stone weapons shattered the projectiles mid-air.

Despite the relentless onslaught, the Jade Chamber pressed ever closer to Osial.

Chunks of its structure, battered by the god’s attacks, broke away and fell into the sea. Yet it advanced undeterred.

Osial, seeing its divine power fail to halt the approach, abandoned its ranged attacks. One of its massive heads lunged forward, aiming to crush the Jade Chamber beneath its mountainous weight.

The Millelith raised their spears in unison, pointing them skyward.

At that moment, a golden apparition formed above the Jade Chamber—a colossal figure bathed in radiant light, wielding a spear larger than any mortal could imagine.

With unyielding force, the giant’s spear thrust upward, piercing the descending serpent head. The shimmering weapon tore through Osial’s watery form, but its glowing eyes still radiated fury.

Even as it was impaled, the serpent head bore down with unrelenting force, gathering godly energy within its maw.

The other heads of Osial also began to charge divine power, their glowing attacks poised to obliterate the Jade Chamber.

The Adepti leapt into action. Two heads were intercepted by their combined efforts, the clash of powers shaking the heavens. But two more heads remained, their attacks unchallenged.

Two figures leapt from the Jade Chamber onto the giant’s glowing shoulders before launching themselves directly onto Osial’s massive form.

It was Jia Changjiang and Lumine.

As the primary bearers of Adepti power and the force of Taisui, the two became the twin blades of the Jade Chamber’s assault.

Jia Changjiang dragged his stone spear along Osial’s body as he sprinted upward, leaving glowing fissures in its watery form. Even Osial, ancient and immense, flinched under the searing pain.

Lumine and Jia Changjiang exchanged a glance.

“I’ll take the left!” Jia Changjiang shouted, dashing toward one of the charging serpent heads.

Lumine nodded, steeling herself as she turned toward the other.

“Traveler! You’ve got this!” Paimon cheered from Lumine’s shoulder.

“Like I needed reminding!” Lumine’s golden eyes gleamed with determination. The energy coursing through her made her feel invincible, like she had returned to a time when her power was unrestrained.

The elements around her seemed to resonate more intensely than ever before, bending to her will with effortless precision.

Raising her hand toward the sky, she channeled her energy.

“What are you doing?!” Paimon exclaimed, confused.

The answer became clear as the sky above began to stir.

In the swirling gold-and-black clouds, a meteor formed—a massive, blazing mass of rock and wind.

With a deafening roar, it descended, tearing through the storm and slamming into Osial’s rightmost head.

The impact sent shockwaves across the battlefield.

Meanwhile, Jia Changjiang charged his own target.

With a final heave, he hurled his spear at the serpent head, watching as it streaked through the air.

Then, he reached into his system’s inventory and retrieved the legendary Sun-Slaying Bow. Drawing it taut, he aimed directly at the speeding spear.

A radiant arrow of condensed energy formed on the bowstring.

Releasing it, the arrow streaked through the air like a comet, striking the spear mid-flight.

The collision imbued the spear with a blinding light, transforming it into a pillar of pure energy that pierced through the serpent head’s godly attack. The radiant beam split the stormy clouds, revealing the sun hidden behind them.

From the harbor of Liyue, the citizens bore witness to an extraordinary sight.

Above the crashing waves and the towering form of Osial, they saw a meteor fall from the heavens. They saw Adepti clashing with divine power.

And they saw it—a radiant arc that pierced through the storm, a beacon of hope.

A white rainbow piercing the sun.

A/N: It’s hard not to mock the original storyline—Osial just stood there watching the Jade Chamber plummet onto its head. What was it? Blind? Plot armor at its finest.
